Without Economic Justice, There Is No Justice!

Obama did not bail out the American Automobile industry. The American People bailed out the American Automobile Industry and we should all be DAMN PROUD!

We saved some of the last American jobs that still pay decent wages and benefits. The people who have those jobs are grateful, the companies who supply the auto industry are grateful, the communities in which those companies are located are grateful. We should all be very happy that there are 250,000 American's working in the American auto industry and paying taxes instead of collecting unemployment and food stamps.

Yes but Obama made the decision that made it possible. The republican's wanted what was left of it to go over seas too those great job creators they are! I bet they would have gotten a juicy tax break for doing too!

Our collective views are so spread out from right to left that you can not make ANY kind of statement without being bashed one way or the other.

The country should be having a "conversation" about jobs, jobs, jobs, which is what the commercial was about. Instead, the GOP wants to turn attention to distractions about contraception, class envy, a gun (not a chicken) in every pot, cutting social programs, blocking all legislation real and imagined!

What ever you do Karl don't let anyone with an optimistic point of view, or god forbid a plan get in front of the American people.

It could spoil your election, go Clint and thanks for the pep talk.....................

It was a great public-service advertisement from Chrysler. Chrysler may not profit directly from the ad, but the sentiment was dead-on. It was an act of patriotism. We have saved the Auto Industry, and we had to fight some of our own business and political leaders to do it. Now we need to recover other core industries.

If we let Wall Street and their politicians run the country, they will sell our economy out from under us. They already made a start. The "American" Chamber of Commerce organized the dismantling of the manufacturing industries, and their transfer to China. (1) This was an act as treasonous as Benedict Arnold.

The Chamber of Commerce's traitorous actions resulted in 50,000 manufacturing jobs lost per month since 2001. 40,000 factories have closed. (2) For each manufacturing job lost, 3-4 support jobs are lost, like in housing or food-service. The total impact was more than 25 million jobs lost in 10 years.

WOULD YOU BUY A Chrysler BECAUSE OF SOME AD?
Does the ad really say anything.?
Seems a waste of 14 million.to me.
ACCORDING TO Consumer reports US cars are not very good.
SORRY to say.
EVEN FORD, the most solvent of the three, has reliability issues.
CLINt is a REPUb and will say anything for the $.
He is an apt symbol for the USA.
HAS been, tough guy.
THE car cos are a big part of our industrial base. glad the workers and parts suppliers still have jobs.

Good American. I imagine you drive a Toyota, huh? The most unreliable autos I have had were Toyotas, Mercedes and Volvos. The best were by far made right here (or mostly here). Don't you just love all the flag waving Republicans who preach patriotism and then were all for letting the whole US auto industry go down. The Republican party is the personification of hypocracy.

You know, as much as I disliked Bush as a president, I never wanted the country to fail or be hurt but I don't get that from the right these days, seems as if they are cheer leading the bad, wanting the country to get worse and worse.

Odd days we live in. I guess it's "play our way" for the GOP or we are taking our toys and going home... Sad times.

Remember when being opposed to the war in Iraq was "Un-American"?

Now being opposed to the failure of our country is viewed with suspicion.

What a bunch of jerks.

I'm a proud Liberal... why don't you "educate" me? Come on Jose, explain why your condescending and flippant remark should have any impact on me, a successful lawyer who was Valedictorian of his Doctorate class. I've argued before the US Supreme Court. Give it your best shot.

We get it alright- 30 years ago this ad would have been considered the cutting edge of Republican public policy, 20 years ago it would have been considered Reaganesque and now it is considered to be unAmerican. How the mighty have given up their ideals and sheeplike joined the lowest common denominator.

People should be identified as Citizens of the United States rather than by the political
party they vote for. America has problems that have been overlooked for too long due to
Party Ideology and those problems won't be solved until the citizens come together to
do what is necessary to rectify them

Republicans hate it when the message says success, hope, good news, future, we can do it ....... they want this President to fail, so all they want to hear is bad news. They don't care how it affects Americans, they're in it for the power grab.

Republicans can't seem to get a simple fact....

The American Eagle is the proud symbol of America - a bird with two wings, a left one and a right one.

When the right wing went too strong in control (George WMD Bush 2001-2008), it almost crashed the bird.

It takes both wings to fly straight, high, and proud.

the UAW types need to get on their knees and thank the american taxpayer for saving their booties.....obama went out on the demo limb and threw money at them.....as far as producing a good product, they are still down the chain, and as long as the asians are allowed to subsidize their cars, the field will not be level......make NO mistake, auto manufacturing is under SEVERE attack...and we can thank the gov for this situation and the bailout.....overall our government and all the harvard MBA's... are destroying manufacturing in america...we need tariffs and subsidies to protect our standard of living......NOW.....
