I have always respeced and admired the Japanese culture. ( other than Pearl Harbor and the war)

Yorika Miura...you are welcome to come to America and stay with my family while your country rebuilds.

What a horrible tragedy. I feel so bad for all the people affected.

Both he and Japan will come out stronger in the end. The Japanese understand the importance of work ethic and education.

You forgot to mention that the Japanese practice what right wing extremists call "socialism". They believe in helping each other at the local level and at the national level - they are true patriots.

Remember "socialism" is the demand for what you and I have. I see no demand in helping people.
11:56 AM on 03/06/2012
No, "socialism" is what the liberals says the government should provide and the "rich" (those who work and pay taxes) should pay for.

What and idiotic post...you should be ashamed. Bashing God will only secure your eternal future without Him...foolish talk.

God did it, did he not? Does god not control every single thing, excepts mans will? Is that not "true"? So since god did it (not "nature"), god should get the credit.

His only stated plan for the future was to honor his deceased family members. Amazing culture. My heart still breaks for them.

Strong, proud people. So glad they are helping one another, that is important in recovery, not only in rebuilding but in coping with the tragedy itself. It eases some of the grief and worry to know that others care and are there to help and support.

I lived for 5 weeks without electricity after Katrina. Mr. Fumitaka is right when he says the bonds between the people are so very important. Our neighborhood worked together to clear the roads and took care of each other. We couldn't do it alone.

The lesson here is, KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS!

And spread kindness.........
Americans are so angry (not all) ......

Sadly, the U.S. has become a nation of people that would sooner stab their neighbor in the back than to help them. They would judge them unfit or not good enough or wealthy enough to be helped. Of maybe they're the wrong religion or wrong color, etc.

Finally, due to government attacks on our people, in certain states people are starting to stick together to fight for the good of "WE, THE PEOPLE".
