Well since he's a tea-bagger holding up a book on 1st grade spelling or a second grade math book will do just as well.

Guess thier idea kind of backfired. They got thomas all fired up and they won the game. Talk about motivation. But it was funny to watch. I just wish I could hear what he was thinking in his head
11:55 PM on 04/17/2012
I very much doubt it had any kind of impact or effect on the outcome of the game. "Bulletin board material" is provided by members of the other team (players or coaches, or even extended to ownership or front office I suppose), not fans. They beat the other team (again - players, coaches, ownership, front office), not the other team's fans.
Perhaps he may have been thinking that in hindsight, his statement was actually a bit silly and melodramatic. I am sure there were plenty of championship team members who did not care for the job GWB was doing too much at all either (as would be the case for any president), but still chose to visit him and shake his hand. Though on the other hand, if I were in their position I could see myself doing what he did if I felt strongly enough (would have to be very, very strong) about the current president. I just cannot grasp taking an opportunity like that for granted though, even if you do not care for the current president. Nor can I fathom anyone finding enough reason to have such a problem with Obama that such a statement would be that necessary, but I guess it's just another example of ODS and the unprecedented level of disrespect this president has endured.

That is very true. I find alot of people disrespectful. I dont agree with alot thats going on in our government but lets face it it didnt start yesterday and has been going on forever. And I dont blame the president for everything either its govenment as a whole. But I agree with what your saying

This is perfect. A fantastic idea.

Politics has no place in sports. Don't ruin a good thing. A player's stance on political issues could drive crowds away. Lessening potential customers (fans). Not smart. I'd fire any player of mine, who espoused politics.

Athletes shouldn't make their politics known if they don't want backlash for it. Be known for your performance on the field - bite your tongue and keep your politics private.

And thats whats great about America, freedom of speech. Its good when it works both ways. Everyone and anyone can have an opinion. Reminds me of a song that Ray Charles once sang. America. His best work as far as I'm concerned.
