Just maybe Bush might have outsmarted himself. This makes it easy for Rep Henry Waxman to subpoena them, and since their employees of the goverment their loyaltys have to be with the country and not Bush. You can see were I'm going with this,

couldn't Obama sign an EXECUTIVE ORDER to get rid of them all.

I don't think it's that big a deal. They're conservatives, and anti-regulatory, so they won't do jack, right? I think it's plain that's what they've been....doing for 8 years. Not much.

Just sort of walk AROUND them.

Bush has burrowed himself into the annuls of the American psyche much like a tick does to warm-blooded vertebrates - according on medical experts it is important to remove the entire tick as quickly as possible to avoid treacherous diseases such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and encephalitis - seeing that he has infected us for 8 years now it is very likely that we are at the advanced stages of each of these pestilent illnesses and then some, it is not a stretch of the analogous imagination to say that George W. Bush has sickened this nation in ways too numerous to even comprehend - we've got some serious healing to tend to.

The destructive STENCH from the past eight years of GWB will continue on throughout the next two generations, at least!

A normal man---a GOOD man---would personally confront the damage he has wrought, feel some tinge of responsibility, and humbly go "into the night" of civilian life without trying to do any MORE damage! But then, we've learned that Bush is not your "normal" man!-----Neither are those who have protected him from any accountibility for what he, Cheney, and their minions have done to bring us to this ruinous state!

Good 'ol Dubya continually finding ways to screw this country. Just lovely. :(

Burrowing is an old way of doing business practiced by both parties. However, the new Administration can come in and basically cut those slots. It takes some work, but it can be done.

Bush makes me physically sick just to type his name. I hope Obama finds a way to get rid of each and every one of these creeps eventually. I trust Obama to get the job done.

I realize this is petty, but bear with me.

George W. Bush said, when running against John Kerry, that he stood at 6' - 3" because Kerry stands at 6'-4". However, when Bush's medical records were released, they said that he was first measured at 5' -11.75" and now 5 - 11.5" at his latest physical. That is the official party line. From the rather old documentary, 'Journeys with George', he reveals that "I'm a little guy. Have you noticed that I'm about 5'11, my brother is 6'3?".

Barack Obama's official records state that he is 6" - 1-1.25". In photographs of Bush and Obama, it is clear that Bush is shorter. If a man would lie about his height - a fact that is easily checked - what else would he lie about? The list is too long!
08:42 AM on 11/18/2008
That's funny. More than one person mentioned that to me. The photo of Bush and Obama walking that was widely published last week really highlights the difference in height.

They concluded Obama must be really, really, tall :)
08:53 AM on 11/18/2008
pinto concluded it was a worldwide conspiracy by the press to only show angles of Obama that make him appear tall

Many, many many companies thrive without national healthcare and national legacy costs. Thus, your argument is just another empty one. Your strength.

Poor Pronto.

He's so thick-witted that he doesn't know that "legacy costs" are paid by companies and not by nations.

He doesn't understand that companies in countries with national healthcare and national pension benefits don't get stuck with those legacy costs the way GM and the other car companies did.

There is much that pinto doesn't understand

He's not very bright

The festering postulent sore on our collective psyche continues for another 8 weeks or so and then we can start to heal. This would be okay with me if "GOOD JOB BROWNIE" didnt keep sticking in my head. good bye bush.
09:04 AM on 11/18/2008
bush is doing one heckofajob 'aint 'e? yes, the single worst administration EVER on environmental policy is sticking it to Americans by retaining these political hacks just to obstruct any progress on the environment. Well, it's obvious that bush is going back to his BIG OIL funded life.
08:27 AM on 11/18/2008
You can be assured, in a Bush administration, that only the most loyal and incompetent will be rewarded.
08:19 AM on 11/18/2008
He probably has to. It must be difficult for a Bush alumni to find work in the private sector.
