"In response to another question, he added, "I don't know what it will cost, but we'll have the money to win.""

And then Ricky said "THANK YOU Koch Enterprise for your GENEROUS donation!"

At 23% approval rating why should he worry? You only need 20% to win, right? What? 50%? Oh, never mind...

I thought he was going to say he would not need to spend that much money for other reasons like popularity, trust of the people, and hard work. I guess I was wrong..

Let's see- I imagine that all of those health clinics and big private insurers will be financing his election- they want to buy themselves a big chunk of those 'medicaid block grants'....so what that it means seniors, invalids and the very poor will be kicked out of nursing homes and cut from care programs.....and the Private Prisons must be willing to 'pony up' for the Gov. that wants to expand privatization throughout the state and crush the union that represents guards...and, of course- the gov. & legislature just made it much harder for individuals in auto accidents to have their injuries paid for- our PIP coverage premium is now just pure profit for the industry- so I'm sure they'll be big donors to him.

NO ONE should be allowed to use their own money to get elected. Why would someone spend $73 Million for a job that pays a very small fraction of that amount? The only answer to that is they plan on doing things that financially benefit themselves instead of the Tax Payers.

And we have already seen some of that attempt with the Testing of Unemployed and Welfare people. The Gov has a direct financial interest in one of the Labs that would be doing the testing.

I never could figure that angle out, either. But then, we had Herb Kohl who ran on a platform of  "I can't be bought because I already own everything". He's fairly progressive and I wish he had decided to take one more for the team and jump into the recall here before he retired. He would have won by a landslide.

He was also about to be indicted for fraud, and this time he would have been personally liable. Since getting elected it has all just melted away. Would you spend 40% of your net worth to avoid a long prison term?

By the way, he no longer owns Solantic, the lab you referred to. He sold them to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest. To his wife. He sold Solantic to his wife. So no longer any conflict of interest there.

ROFLO...Oh Ricky...Ricky...when you tell people vote me Because they are not going to charge me for STEALING 1 Billion...of YOUR MONEY..in short Rick is using OUR TAX Payer money to fund his Election...yeah ...why isn't this crook in JAIL??
11:34 PM on 04/24/2012
The main reason the crook ISN'T in jail is because off all the money he had available for legal representation. It's sad and embarrassing that he was ever elected in the first place!

He won't have to pay because he won't be reelected. Anybody care to check his rating in Florida can tell.
