Maybe it's so the Tea Party and Neo-Cons can "sway" the handful of remaining Republicans who have not gone off the edge, yet.

I can't wait to see the images of Romney rolling down I95 with his VP running mate strapped to the top of his station wagon. I'm sure they have car washes in Tampa.

I think everyone should be packin' and go to the event, even if you can't get in. After all, in Florida, if an armed person, even one wearing a uniform, makes you feel threatened, you have the right to defend yourself.

So?

If someone is shot, at the convention, let the full responsibility fall on Scott's shoulders.

In a manner of speaking, yes! America has insisted over the years to maintaining a culture that glorifies guns and violence. So, yes any of the shootings are 'just life in America' where we solve our problems with guns.

Is Zimmerman going to pick up some part-time security employment at the Tampa Convention? He could be Romney's poster boy for the event.
10:54 AM on 05/02/2012
I might actually have to agree with Rick Scott on this one.

Maybe there will be a bit shoot-out inside the RNC.

Maybe they'll annihilate themselves and rid this country of the republican scourge.

Anti-gun people frequently espouse violence. Perhaps that's why they feel no one can be trusted with a firearm. They are projecting their own inability to control their emotions on others.

The US State Dept. issues traveling warnings for US tourists traveling to unsafe foreign countries. It should step up the warnings to include Florida and all the states with Stand Your Ground law and concealed gun laws. I never know how much of a threat there was to my family when vacationing in Florida. Families should have as much information regarding the differences in state laws before agreeing to put your loved ones in threat of death and life threatening circumstances while on vacation.

Figuring in the ludicrous fact, that being afraid of someone, for ANY reason, is grounds enough to shoot them in these regressive states!

You gotta feel sorry for the security people and the police. As if they didn't already have enough of a full plate during an emotionally charged political convention. Florida has this inept fool supporting the crazed gun nuts and their NRA lackeys, who have turned Florida into an armed camp. Even 90 year old palsied seniors here are armed to the teeth! Any weapon, including handguns, Uzi's and AK47's with unlimited ammo are readily available at most flea markets in Florida. Cash over (or under) the counter. No questions asked.

why is GOP scared , Obama alredy terminate Bin Laden, why guns?

The GOP isn't scared. The initiative came from the DEMOCRATIC mayor and city council of Tampa, not the RNC.
