Ever since The National Association of Water Companies got the contract to supply the water for Tea Party inc. drinks they have really become rather flagrant

I had a college professor who said that people who own water rights in this world will be the most powerful. She said that water will be a more valuable commodity than oil, gas or gold. It's becoming more and more evident that she was right!

Yeah, but that's just fossil water; it's like oil, when it gets pumped out it's gone. The real power is in controlling the water that doesn't run out.

The members of ALEC and NAWC and their families should be forced to drink the water they are polluting with fracking every single day for the rest of their short-lived lives!

The truth of the matter is is that politicians and lobbyists like to do their dirty work in the dark. If you shine a light, they will scatter and scurry for the dark places. If ALEC is exposed and it's members shamed into quitting, another organization will arise in the dark to take it's place and it will be business as usual.

We just need to keep shining the light. There is no other option.

Short term profits are the key to why drinking water suppliers want to see more fracking. And why in the world are we allowing private companies to take the countries water and sell it to the people who own it? I trust they are paying heavy royalties for this privilege (not)! We need to stop the privatization of the nations common resources, and the only hope we have of that is with the democrats.

The private water industry is flat out amoral. There should be no private water industy...or prisons for that matter. Some things just shouldn't be profitable.

"At the core of NAWC's mission is education of local decision makers on the role private water companies can play in helping communities provide their residents with safe, reliable water service."

If by "education of local decision makers" you mean "padding of our bottom line by lobbying to deregulate a practice that could render undrinkable innumerable gallons of what is currently potable water" then yes; mission accomplished.

I would like a list of affiliates and Politicians that entertain the idea this is good for America. This needs to be out there everyday, in the open.

ENRON was in the very private process of trying to take control of the water supply of the City of Houston when it imploded. The not too bright Houston mayor had been convinced it was okay to sign over the control of the city's water without a bidding process for the contract. Vinson and Elkins had awarded a top associate for writing an internal paper describing how this could all be done. Reliant Energy hired the newly unemployed high level managers from the failed Enron subsidiary and the people of Houston do not know how close they came to a financial disaster.

If your water company is one of those mentioned above, you can be sure clean water and your health are not a priority. Pushing open carry gun laws, stand your ground and voter restrictions have nothing to do with supplying clean water. These companies have lost focus on what their mission as a company is.

It's virtually impossible to not do business with an ALEC member,
but a concentrated effort can cut it down.
Constant vigilance and a desire to slay the beast is all that's needed.
