"Gutierrez said he will continue to point out Obama's record on reproductive rights, Pell education grants and the economy -- and that Obama is more likely to win passage of immigration legislation in a second term. "

Really? Abortion, socialism, and 8% unemployment? OK, let's all vote for those!

Socialism? It was 6,000 points when George left the house. It is now 12,000 plus and gaining. Some kind of socialist. Go get the definition of a socialist.

I will help you:

Gutierrez highlighted "reproductive rights, Pell education grants and the economy."

I responded with "[a]bortion, socialism, and 8% unemployment."

Taking each term in Gutierrez's comment and applying it according to its respective position to the term in my response, we see that "Pell education grants" is met with "socialism."

The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate and certain postbaccalaureate students to promote access to postsecondary education.

Socialism is the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Thus, as our society transitions to communism, Pell grants are an example of the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles (for example, education for all).

The Republicans are blocking any and all of Obama's measures to boost employment. Also, the GOP is slashing budgets which means a lot of teachers, fire-fighters, policemen, and other employees are losing their jobs and boosting the unemployment.

The Libertarians would shut down all public schools and legalize child labor. That would cause the unemployment rate to sky rocket.

Ron Paul incidentally has not forfeited his "socialized" medical care. And when he flies around the country, he uses airports financed by EAS - So Ron Paul is NOT opposed to "
"socialism" as along as he benefits from it. (Also remember, Ayn Rand was on public assistance for 7 years.)

"The Republicans are blocking any and all of Obama's measures to boost employment."

I certainly hope so. Obama's ideas do not work.

"Also, the GOP is slashing budgets which means a lot of teachers, fire-fighters, policemen, and other employees are losing their jobs and boosting the unemployment."

As we have all seen, the downturn in the economy has hurt state budgets. Therefore, sacrifices must be made.

"The Libertarians would shut down all public schools and legalize child labor."

I do not advocate shutting down public schools or legalizing child labor. I do think that there should be some nominal personal financial investment in our children's education (beyond taxes which are too removed). Moreover, I think it is the role of the state governments to protect children from really bad parents and their decisions.
