It's great when an athlete realizes that there are better things in life, than football. His health was more important, than a career, in professional football. It's also great, when an athlete graduates, and has other career options. Unfortunately, a lot of athletes won't graduate, and won't have a professional career. At least he won't wind up being some washed up athlete, who can't afford to quit, because he's broke. A washed up athlete who can't let go, of the spotlight. At least he won't be, Terrell Owens. For those who think that it's a mistake, they're wrong. This is probably the smartest thing, that he's ever done.

A lot of guys become their sport, and many cases can be inspiring. But given the greater knowledge of concussions and their consequences, many football players are being put at too great a risk.

Good for him. He obviously already had his back up plan in place and it turned out to be more attractive than Plan A. Not that the world needs alot more lawyers, but he's less likely to come out of court with a concussion or ripped ACL. Smart choice.

A back up plan, is to graduate. Unfortunately, a lot of these athletes, will never graduate. They will leave school with no education, and no professional career.

Well if he likes to win, he'll have more opportunities as an attorney in the courtroom than he would have as a football player with the Browns.

He'll be playing with his grandkids at their Florida summer home when he's 65, as opposed to dead. It's called foresight.
