I love sheep! They're adorable, I help bring them into the world, raise them, play with them, house them, feed them, care for them, and then I eat them. There's truly nothing wrong with having a respectful relationship with where your food comes from. We don't have to "dehumanize", so to speak, where our meat comes from, as a matter of a fact I find that I respect them all quite a bit more since I need them for food.

What I'm trying to say is, for me ethical treatment and eating animals are not mutually exclusive. I can appreciate them as both animals and food sources.

In wildness is the salvation of mankind

I believe, it is that higher level of consciousness that seals the deal. All life on the Earth is interconnected. Let's look at the first 5 weeks all vertebrates as embryos. The most skilled scientist has difficulty determining what specie is what, from the human embryo to the fish, to the amphibian, to the reptile, to the mammal, including humans. We are all, so closely related...

I was but four years old when I questioned eating chickens as I noticed their veins were so human-like but then I was always exceedingly different. I have always had difficulty eating meat and abstain the vast majority of my palette. But then, I'm not every dick and harry as well.

Well that makes sense to me. I just try to keep in mind that next time around any of these animals could easily be you or me.

I have a dozen tasty recipes for lamb and veal and they looked delicious. I also have some Caribbean recipes for goat and some mid-western U.S. recipes for ground goat and goat chops. Venison is a gimme. Rhinoceros and elephant meat are pretty rare around here so I am willing to wait until they start showing up in the butcher shops to cook them.

I am willing to cook and eat any non-poisonous plants. I feel the same way about non-poisonous animals.

Cheers,

If you want to be vegetarian than that is fine and cool for you but don't try to stop other people from eating meat. When vegetarians see pigs, they see cute little animals, I don't, I see food. I wonder what vegetarians have to say about animals that eat other animals.

Did you realize, at five weeks, all embryonic species, from amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals are almost indistinguishable? Of course, mankind is a mammal. I had difficulty eating meat as young as four, but then I would later learn, I was a really, highly intelligent chick.

All my life, I never ate the body of a fellow being without deep regret and analysis. It's up stairs that directs the proclivity.
