How about speech, vocabulary, countenance, mental state, walk, belly. neck. laugh, hangups, shoulders, back, general ability to function in traffic, at the airport, at a funeral, a wedding, on a date, a double date,in the waiting room, at the spa, and on your ancient Facebook account?

I used to be a hardcore hypochondriac, always checking and double checking on the web about every sigle thing that I thought was wrong with me. At one point it got so bad, a doctor put me on Lexapro to battle the anxiety.

Then one day I visited my skin doctor to do bi-annual check on some moles (many years surfing when young). I happened to mention some small thing on my wrist I had been obsessing about, which eventually led me to disclose my level of anxiety about my hypochondriac ways.

The doc said: "Come with me".

He walked me next door where an elderly patience was getting a GIGANTIC-something treated: Looked like a piece of flesh the size of a baseball bat had literary fallen of his back. The doctor looked at me and said: "THAT is a problem. You have no problems."

That day I stopped taking Lexapro and never once again worried about anything or looked at another self-diagnosis website. EVER.

Not sure why I tell this...perhaps is because I am on my 3rd hour of a massive back up and I am bore.

;)

You know this could have been a really useful article if you stuck with the important things. This was a stupid way to get people worried about everyday ailments like tooth decay or something transient like pink eye or a common thing like "man boobs" which in 95% of the men is just excess weight and some slight hormonal imbalances.

Next time focus on real useful stuff like those feet in the teaser photo.

Yikes! What happen to that old saying "beauty is only skin deep"? For example, what do you do about a good-looking stalker dude? Or a very attractive woman who screams at you over nada? Where is the balance? How about one on how to spot an egotistical author? Just saying...

Does anyone really think people wouldn't arrive at the conclusion that something is not right if they have stuff oozing out of their eye or a seeping rear end or a huge bulge on any part of their body? I hope it's safe to say that anyone who reads things on this website would know that.

Wow, pretty gross stuff! I think, medical benefit aside, this cannot be topped by any amount of pornography as far as I can imagine, hard or soft, or any "bad" words...

And as far as medical benefit, if you have these problems and you don't know you should look into a cure, you probably don't have electricity to run the computer to have access to HuffPo... so, pointless!

There is one ailment that has no symptoms at first and that you can prevent - glaucoma. When your peripheral vision starts to go it will never be recovered. You can see an optometrist and get an exam that will monitor your eyes once a year. It will save your sight.

But if you do lose some peripheral vision, you may miss some of the sights above.

While the topic is interesting, and informative, I think it would have been better to have actual photographs of these ailments, as opposed to drawings.

We're all adults here, and we are talking about ailments, that affect us all one way or another.
