As I'm sitting here eating a Famous Star (2 for $3)... I laugh at the fact that someone just spent $295 bucks on a burger and a half hour from now, won't feel any fuller or more satisfied.

Any burger over 12$ should come with a complimentary reach-around.

Surprised you can buy a diamond-encrusted toothpick for 300 bucks. They must not be very big diamonds!

If I wanted my burger to taste like seafood.. I wouldn't be buying a burger :)

I personally love quail eggs, but you're right- it would not mesh well with hamburger meat.

The record shouldn't be set by the price they charge, but the average price to make it. Otherwise, I could make a standard 7 dollar hamburger and charge 1 million for it and shatter this record. Unless Huff Post isn't giving all the details...which is a 99% possibility.

I would rather just make a donation to the homeless and hungry, than to purchase this burger.
06:02 PM on 05/29/2012
I wonder if the price includes french fries

That'll be another $200.. they'll probably justify it by saying it's cooked in truffle oil or something :)

I wouldnt pay that much even if I was rich. Some things are just dumb and not worth it.

New York's Serendipity 3 restaurant has invented the world's most expensive burger according the Guinness Book of World Records, clocking in at a shocking $295. The final touch? Wait for it -- a solid gold "Fleur de Lis" toothpick, encrusted with diamonds, designed by world-renowned jeweler Euphoria New York.

How's this? NO ONE CARES AND NO ONE WILL EAT IT EITHER. Grill me a burger, put some good old American cheese on it and let's party.

I'll bet that banker who left the 1 cent tip and left the note for the waitress to get a real job, eats there...and tips just as well!

gold at 1555 an ounce today, the tooth pick is the cost, not the burger.

The Waygu beef alone is priceless. Calling my wife now to make plans to check out the burger. Hope tonight is good for her. It also supports a good cause.

Quail egg = taste the same as a regular egg. Butter= cant believe its not regular butter. Sorry but its about 288 bucks over priced.
05:00 PM on 05/29/2012
it might taste better than the BGK Whopper but I would still prefer the more affordable BGK Whopper

Thanks but no thanks, I'll got a cheeseburger at my favorite local place for $5. I am glad it is benefiting charity but its still an insane price.
