SO the rich are anti Obama because he’s pro them being rich but also anti Obama because he’s anti business and calling for them to pay a fairer share of income tax, considering the .1% billionaires in general pay by far the lowest rate ant less than 50 of them make more money annually than 100 million Americans.
To put it another way, a billionaire makes more in a year than an average  Read More...

Now that Mitt Romney is the presumptive Republican nominee , he should release all his college records and call upon Barack Obama to do the same.

One pre-requisite for joining Harvard Law Review is good grades. We don't need to see them.

… unless you want to feel bad when you find out the grades are better than yours. How sad istic.

Solyndra, Another Bush GOP Mess Passed On To Obama

Solyndra is trying to rival her big sister Katrina's ability to make the federal government look incompetent. But whose baby is she?

Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah used Solyndra to argue against worker-training benefits. Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina used it to argue that the federal government should stay out of autism research. Disaster relief, cancer treatments, you name it: Solyndra has been an argument against them.

And this week, the government faced the prospect of a shutdown because House Republicans added a provision to the spending bill to draw more attention to -- what else? -- Solyndra.

"Because of some of the horrible weather we have had over the past several weeks, we have all agreed to add emergency funds we didn't originally plan in this bill, and Republicans have identified a couple of cuts," explained Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, including "a cut to a loan-guarantee program that gave us the Solyndra scandal."

What McConnell neglected to mention is that Solyndra was cleared to participate in this loan-guarantee program by President George W. Bush's administration. He also did not mention that the legislation creating the loan-guarantee program, approved by the Republican-controlled Congress in 2005, received yes votes from -- wait for it -- DeMint, Hatch and McConnell. -- http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-birthing-of-solyndra/2011/09/26/gIQANTGC0K_story.html?hpid=3z

Good info that many conservatives will ignore or disbelieve. Another question is just why Solyndra failed. Some would say it's the nature of solar, that it isn't a viable alternative. Bunk. Solar is a viable alternative right now and will be increasing in importance as the price and availability of petroleum products continue to increase and decrease respectively. The reason Solyndra failed has to do with the Chinese. Recognizing that American solar companies were making inroads and taking market share the Chinese government subsidized their own manufactures of solar products and then took big losses to vastly undercut prices that American companies could charge and still compete. Our government could not or would not match the cheap Chinese imported products and allowed Solyndra to fail. Our politicians insistence in continuing to subsidize Big Oil and their apparent decision to end the alternative energy subsidies that we need to pave the way into our future energy needs points to who it is that actually controls the country.

You know your campaign's in trouble when all you can say is "Vote for the Wall Street stooge instead of the Wall Street stooge!"

Too bad Cynthia McKinney's not on the Green Party ticket again.

These people speak in circles. Their ads make no sense. They just throw words around.

Of course Wall Street contributed to the Obama campaign the first time around, hoping once he got into office that he would look the other way, after being forced to bail them out in order to rescue a failing system. He rescued the system to rescue the economy, then the regulations came and they didn't like that.

All this touting of the need for "business experience" in a President is hogwash. After all we have lived through of late with Wall Streeters, investment fund managers, bankers, industry tycoons, who started the unemployment with outsourcing, the simple question is, do we want any of them in the Oval Office? After the last President had a highly touted MBA from Harvard, are you pleased with his handling of the economy?

Someone tell me, what did all of these businessmen do for the national/world economy in the last 10 years? How many jobs did they create with their tax breaks? How did the last MBA President balance income with outgo?

These tycoons have made being a real businessman very difficult, the kind of businessman who manages a business that produces a service on a daily basis, supports employees, observes safety regulations, and deals with the declining consummer base day after day, while maintaing quality of product, meeting payroll, and taking less for himself in order to keep the shop open.
