Scott: "We know that over 50 of them have voted in elections. They impact races. They dilute the vote of U.S. races and that's not right."

We, on the other hand, know that in 1998, 1999, and 2000, over 30.000 eligible voters were purged from the lists in FL, by Bush's supervisor of elections Catherine Harris, because they had the same names than convicted felons.

Why are cons protecting the largest fraudster of Medicare in America's history. Why is fraud okay for the GOP?

Because it's how they win elections, and line their pockets.

This lawsuit should have been filed a long time ago. With a criminal thug like Scott controlling the Florida Government, a lot of people will be prevented from voting - unless he is corralled by a Federal Judge and that is likely. Scott is a horrible governor, and with his background he is not to be trusted with any serious responsibility.

It doesn't matter when the election is. It is illegal to vote4 and deprives citizens' right to a free election if non-citizens are allowed to vote. Dems want the illegal aliens because they vote for them because theirs is an empty promise to give people things that they don't have like the Nazis and Socialists.

I doubt you know this, but there are these things called provisional ballots which are used to place votes when your identity is disputed. Once placed they are verified later. My dog can go to a polling location and place a vote if he had opposable thumbs and the mechanisms in place would weed it out from the final vote count. Please note Rick Scott did not say the votes were counted in an election, only that they were placed.

Southern States would have never ever allowed minorities and women to vote if Federal government did not take an action. We need the same action to be taken again if they continue to disenfranchise voters.

That is Gov. Scott's misinformation to suppress votes. Have you thought why this issue become so vital prior to 2012 presidential election?

One of the many seeming differences between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives emphasize getting the guilty while feeling that the suffering of a few innocents is just part of doing business, while liberals would rather let a few guilty go rather than see the innocent unjustly punished.

Why would an illegal alien vote? If caught then s//he could be deported. What is the incentive? It makes no sense at all. Is there anyone (other than Elvis-is-alive and UFO believers) that could think that this happens?

GOP hate..it aint just for breakfast anymore!

For the GOP, the law is only good to follow when they're demanding that it be followed by the Mexicans or any groups they want to supress, oppress or criminalize.

But when it comes to futhering their meanspirited and law breaking agendas, like this law, Jim Crow, school segregation and things that they feel rightously indignant about in their filth, it's ok to break the rules because after all, it's being done 'for God and Country' and they a right to break the law for the betterment of their position.

So which one is it GOP? Is the law the law and equal for everyone to abide? Or just only when it applies to rounding Mexicans up and incarcerating and deporting them?

Pick one please!

His interview on CNN last night made him look very guilty of purging. He tried to blame it all on homeland security.

Homeland security has the up to date info on illegal aliens in the state, they refuse to give them to Florida...apparently to hold them back until after the election.

Wow...what a load of rightwing spin. So, how do you describe his puring the LEGAL voters. He all so worried about the fifty illegal voters cancelling out legal voters, but he purged legal voters, too. Perhaps you should get past the talking points and look at what he's really DOING instead of what he SAYS he's doing.

The right to vote is essential to any system that has leaders elected. Removing any eligible citizen from the roles is a great deal more impacting than accidentally giving a non-citizen a voice in an election.

This is why there are rules in place for this kind of action. This is why the rules have to be followed by the government. If the government doesn't follow the rules for which the officials who run it are elected, that government is void of meaning.

This elected official is trying to change the process, but he himself is not following the rules. He is not a viable leader, and it calls into question whether the election that voted him into power was valid. If, as he states, there were massive amounts of ineligible voters in the election pool, then his own election may have been invalid.

Lets see if he gets re-elected. People don't tend to forget when you try to take their rights away. Or their friends or families rights. Good luck.

"I think they all care about doing their job the right way," Scott said at a ribbon cutting in Miami Lakes. "Every county is a little bit different, but I'm sure they're doing it the best way for their county."
You mean the GOtPer way Ricky. ;-)

Actually, that's an incredibly accurate statement. All the election officials (both Dem and Rep) have stopped the purge, and the bipartisan effort to stop the illegal action is in full gear.

Funny how Republicans don't mind foreign interests paying for their campaigns (affecting millions of votes), but do mind foreign people voting (very very few votes.)

Hmm.

they are not smart enough to figure that one out...
that's why they are called low info voters.
They follow along like good little lockstep shills.
I just wonder...will they ever realize how much they are being used?
How much they are being lied to?
How little the .01% even care about their backsides?

This is more that left vs right. This is voter intimidation and attacks the very roots of democracy. So if you do not care for democracy you can root for Rick Scott.
