The Nazis killed many physically and mentally disabled, so I really do not think that was the right idea to go with.

Literal language police.

This requires the writing of a new song: Roll over Orwell.

Please show me ANY legitimate evidence that the police officer who arrested him was a liberal.

If you can not, you have embarrassed yourself.

A waste of the court's time and the public's money. Throw the case out! (Then sue the police for cripplingly huge cash!)

This is what our police forces are expending their energy on, really? This is just becoming a disgusting police state.

'Crip.pled' is just a word, simply describing a condition. Only the context can make it good or bad. But the context that this 'comedian' used it in, makes it quite offensive. She should take tips from George Carlin's material to learn about context.

Carlin believed you should be free to say anything you want, whether it's contextually offensive or not.

"Did the police in Cincinnati overreact? "

Yep.
I guess that's the safest city in the universe if all the crimes the cops have to cover is going after crippled folks.

I personally know a fellow comedian with the same disability. Funny little dude and he makes fun of his "crippledness" all the time. This is ridiculous... and in essence, a violation of our constitutional rights. This government, I swear is becoming more and more 'gestapo' every day.

I ran up stairs to tell my wife of my outrage for the police abusing the right of free speech in Cincinnati. My wife uses a wheelchair but could be a great stand up comic. She replied "so I guess they told her she hasn't got a leg to stand on."

ACLU, please sue the Cincinnati police. So there must be no crime in Cincinnati if the police have to invent charges. Maybe I have it all wrong when I argue against cutting police personnel.

Political correctness is the enemy of progressive politics. It allows the thought police to control our national dialogue.
It gives ownership of the language to the police state.
It creates cover for racist policies that hide behind tokenism.
We need to be able to speak freely to be a free society.
Let the crippled girl speak!
For cripes sake!

It is supposed to be, but in reality it is used to control the public discourse and acts as a smoke screen for racist policy. How do I explain this to you?Okay, if you essentially treat the black community like n***ers, but refer to them as African-Americans, you're public posture is protected even if your policies are racist and oppressive. It's about who owns the language.Right wingers are masters at manipulating language and political correctness is also about controlling language.Does that help?

Don't feel bad Ally girl, because some republican politicians in the Michigan state house thinks it's "vulgar" to say the word "Vagina" out loud.
Or at least not in the present company. They save it for use in a cat-house.
