Romney is working under the out-dated assumption that black people are too lazy to vote.
I have a feeling that he will learn a few things about Black Power come November.
Get the vote out and Prove him wrong.

So what we voted for Obama........Over the last 32 years of Presidential elections, not one media group was concerned about race in voting. Now, it's a big deal. SMH! Ut oh black people voting for themselves its messing up our priviledges........ We gotta warn everybody. We gotta stop it....... Lets make it harder to vote, we gotta evade The Civil Rights.

This is just further proof that even when Republicans do what Democrats want them to, they'll insist it was done for the wrong reasons. Republicans get accused of being against the black community all the time, and yet when one of them reaches out to the NAACP, it's a "stunt."

Today's GOP is the worst I have ever seen. In the past, it was evident. Folks like Jack Kemp, even George Bush were those GOpers who I consider fair minded passionate conservatives. The day Obama took office, the day white america's true colors were exposed. If Powell had ran in 2000, I believe he would had been the first black president. And, he's a republican, but the republican party embrace his candidacy...........?

Perhaps we have different definitions for "reaching out."
01:39 AM on 07/12/2012
So when Obama speaks to the NAACP they break out their a**-kissing lipstick and when Romney speaks to the NAACP he is derided as making a stunt? I might not like the guy but he really is free to speak to whomever he wishes.
08:05 AM on 07/12/2012
He wasn't speaking to the NAACP...and you know it.
10:29 AM on 07/12/2012
I must have seen a different speech than you - maybe you watched him address the aliens of Rigel 4?

He can speak to whomever he wishes, yes...but it's not about that...it's about WHAT he says...and HOW he says it.

Obama don't care about you either black people, I know you like to believe because his half black and is close to your complexion that somehow he shares some kind of kinship with you, well HE DON'T, Obama disdains you just like Mitt Rommey does, but he pretends to care through his rhetoric, and uses his complexion to deceive you, and you keep falling for it, just proves how gullible you folks are.

Black people don't have a problem with the president being black. We voted for him [and will vote for him] because he's a better candidate.

So Mitt Rommey don't have respect for black people? And Obama the first black(bi racial) president does? Give me a break. Obama is using you people for votes, that's all
01:23 AM on 07/12/2012
prove it
and had the president been half as condescending as romney toward a group of people you'd be speaking out of the other side of your mouth.

As a serious presidentila candidate you do not speak i a non serious ous way to AfrAms To speak to a disengenous way to any race of people unles you really don't want to be elected.

To take any race of people as unwothry of genuine concern reveakls that you are not worthy to be a candiadte for the people of a diverse country as the U.S.

So if he chose to give the finger to the NAACP he would have ddi his campaign more good if he had not spoken at all, he certainly will not gain any black votes from his speech.

He will not gain any votes from whites unless they are tea partiers, white supremacists etc.

I must have missed that, was that before or after he said he wanted to represent all Americans, including those of color?

I'm not listening to anything Romney says and I'm not a member of the NAACP, so I don't see the members of the NAACP taking anything Romney says seriously.

When this was over with, he made a statement. He knew that he would get boo. This was a set-up. He wasnt talking to the people. He was talking down to them.

Of course he went there to be booed. It played to his base. If we were REALLY smart we would have sat there in with blank faces and NO reactions, giving him no news or comments to play in the news cycle. If we were truly clever, the silence would have been louder than ever.
