I just read this article. Now I'm suffering from a mood disorder. I must now leave work, and go home to smoke a bowl of treatment.

Psychological conditions are made up by psychiatrists by a majority vote. Most of the psychiatrists (including Freud are/were paid by big pharma). Watch "marketing madness" a great informative documentary taht goes through how money is made off of life and people's emotions.

I wonder what they would have said that Malcom X had, maybe Anger disorder, or some other ridiculous problem.

It is life people, get over it.

Mood disorder like his fathers? Where if he doesn't get what he wants he threatens you?

Or simply the fact that his lies are not working make him moody? I think there is a major difference especially based on what we know about this man and his family.

Don’t people have anything else to do but gossip about somebody, anybody, that is going through a rough period?

Even if he is under investigation for something he did or didn’t do, the investigation can go on.

And if the investigation is or isn’t a factor in his stress, burnout, or mood disorder, he has a right to deal with it with dignity and privacy, as indeed any of these other nosy-body citizens do if and when it should happen to them.

After all, if so-called ‘Christian’ anti-gay ministers can cry after they’ve been literally caught with their pants down in a drug-sex party with another man, or prominent politicians step down after being caught in sex- and or financial fraud scandals, doesn’t this guy have a right to a nervous breakdown as any of us can get without fabricated scandals being implied about him?

I think he’s being as honest as he has to be, he’s taking a break and taking care of it and the rest is none of our business.

Perhaps if these people really have nothing else to do they can listen to Rush Limbaugh as he pops pills and judges others, at least until Newt has room for them all on his Moon colony...

The sad thing is that the people in his district will elect him even if his high on drug and alcohol and stop showing up in Congress or his our district until election day.
Areas of the country who always vote one way either for the democrats or the GOP get the worse kind of representation as very little effort is needed to get reelected.

why do you say that. the rules are what they are if you are to ill to your job you have to step down, this is public service not a charity organization. 30 days after no show for illness business puts you on short term disability so they can get on with work at hand the country cannot wait for him to get well from mental illness, he did break a leg and be able to work in bed. He needs to be in congress doing his job or turn it over to someone that can perform.
so you are the one who isn't too bright.

He needs to be drug tested. I think he's just a junkie. Drug testing should be mandatory for congressman. Also, they should have to take a breathalyzer while entering the capital building. The president too. If I have to blow to drive my car down the road I don't think it is too much to ask that Congress and the President be drug and alcohol tested weekly/daily while they are running the country,

IF this is real, I wish him a speedy recovery. I say IF not because of his party affiliation, but because he's a politician under investigation.

Pretty convenient to have your mood disordered when under investigation by the authorities, however if true Jackson is emotionally ill and severely so, "intensive medical treatment at a residential treatment facility for a mood disorder," sounds more like rehab for drugs or alcohol. When politicians don't allow for specifics, there's a something to hide.

What right do we have to the 'specifics' of anyone's medical condition? You know that those with mood disorders very often self-medicate, right?
