I Find Purpose Through My Struggle. God IS Great.

This happened to me in Oct. 2009. My banks changers the locks on me. I had not ever been foreclosed although it came close. I was traveling out of town and when I returned I had foreclosure locks on the doors. I simply paid a locksmith to take them off. I probably should have sued. It's not to late I don't think.

Private "contractors" - trained by Blackwater?

Why is this shocking? Collection agencies are protected by police in Colorado.

Perhaps this is not the usual procedure that banks know about. Perhaps these are rogue contractors or even people pretending to work for them. However, there has to be some responsibility accepted by the banks for this behavior, and if the banks do not step up and try to correct this ASAP, then one has to assume that the bank doesn't care what actually happens in their name.

They're going to roll up on the wrong house one day and the resident is going to "stand their ground" and not a single person in America is going to weep over the outcome.

Just a side note.

The Obama administration got rid of thousands of small business jobs when they passed new rules which gave the major home maintenance companies an advantage in bidding for the jobs of securing vacant homes.
Many small operations that cleaned houses and secured the properties from break-ins were put out of business by this current administration.
These new policies were enacted to solely benefit the large contractors who now get to raise their prices for home repair and maintenance.

Crony capitalism again at work.

Why would Rush Limbaugh report on such a tiny story ?

I read about that fact on the Huff Post and I personally have lost 50% of my business due to new regulations that favored certain large groups over my small business.
So yes, you are talking to someone who has lost business because of new regulations that were designed to give a special interest group favored status. .

First it's shady loan practices. Then it's robo-signing. Followed be illegal foreclosures. And finally by sending people in to occupied houses to change the locks. What's next sending in a bunch of thugs to beat the living daylights out of the people who live there?

The 1% can do what they want to you. You won't ever get justice. The French knew how to handle an abusive aristocracy. When will the USA wake up and realize we must do the same with ours, starting with bankers.
10:26 AM on 07/19/2012
The French did have cable television or the Horatio Alger lie to placate the masses.

I get the impression that HP, in it's quest to dramatize the situation, has cherry picked some very bad examples and highlighted those.
I gotta believe that in 90% of the cases, the folks inside the homes have just decided to not leave after missing some 6 months of payments or so, as they don't have a place to go.
I would do the same thing if I was in the situation, but with the knowledge that I better get my important stuff out of the house and safe. Sad situation for sure.

When it's mostly the same contractor, with the same bank, I tend not to think so. Maybe the other cases; but JPMorgan & their thugs?

In other countries such as mine (Canada), his policies would make him conservative. (The bills he's passed, drones, wars, etc)

If it happens in Florida just shoot them. Seems a lot more reasonable than Zimmerman.

Your comment seems to me as reasonable. If one can stand their ground outside of their home blocks away, why not while actually standing in one's livingroom while shooting an intruder.
