Still waiting for you guys to condemn guns being used in The Dark Knight rather than taking the sexist angle and criticizing Madonna for doing the same. A lot of users agree with me.

Nothing to do with sexism. The other comment posted in the wrong place.

Maybe if she turned the gun on herself that might be entertaining

Gee, I've seen western shows with gunfights and they used real guns. The movies, video games and real bullies with badges running around shooting people with real guns. Hopefully Madonna's display will make her fans consider getting guns. The more of us that are armed the less chance those who crave power over others will try to control or hurt people. This includes shooters, rapists, cops and politicians. If you truly want to live free then you have to take on the responsibility of protecting that freedom. Get a gun, practice and keep it on you at all times. Never let someone else's rules or ridiculous signs prevent you from being able to defend yourself. Peace:)

This is only "news" becaue of the Aurora shootings. Before, no one batted an eye. Either you give a crap about the way that guns are used in all forms of entertainment or you don't, but at least be consistent about it. Guns on tv and in movies are okay. Live on stage held by a woman singing...not okay.

No one even complained about it last week when 2 were killed and 23 injured due to gun violence at a block party in Toronto.

Hundreds of people were killed with guns all over the world last Thursday; no Americans complained about Madonna's stage show.

Friday morning 12 Americans had their lives stolen by an evil person with a gun; Americans lose their mind over the very same stage show.

A little consistency would be great, especially from the crowd who saw the Dark Knight Rises or the latest episode of Breaking Bad this weekend.

"Madonna would rather cancel her show than censor her art,"
Sounds good to me. Cancel.

She was in Scotland, it's not exactly likely that anyone at the concert would have been personally affected by the tragedy several thousand kilometers away, is it?

Unless, of course, she was, some bizarre reason, dressed as Batman or a batman villainess during the bit with the guns, then it doesn't matter.

I wonder why media like Huff Po is fixated on Madonna when Dark Knight Rises still plays in Colorado, people have gone to see it in droves all across America and this isn't looked at as slightly disrespectful then, and you have your little media darling Gaga also brandishing guns in her show. And Roger Waters is also on stage with guns. And countless others I bet. Does someone at Huff Po hate Madonna that much?

she is done when she wants to be done. She has a sold out worldwide concert to finish first, and a huge fanbase still. if you don't like it, that's fine, but she still has plenty of fans thirty years into her career, and a huge name that obviously huff po is fixated on for daily headlines. thousands of comments later, it kind of shows she is NOT done

Hullo, if you worship stars ! how is your perception going to convince a critical thinker who sees many ordinary everyday folk doing more than she ever did. ! oneday I do hope you come to realise that this ent. biz. is merely about distraction (watch them endorse anything from Coke to GOP) they get manipulated by their own need for attention IT'S SAD

Much ado about nothing. No one has seen the show. You are looking at pictures of past shows. There is nothing to frame the context. The writer sure didn't.

Dramas on U.S. TV? - that's okay.

The Dark Knight playing in over 4,000 theaters? - still okay

Madonna's concert in Scotland? Boooooo. Insensitive. She's old. She's awful.

Do we Americans even TRY to make sense anymore?
