If it prevents the Republicans from further destroying the United States, then a divided government will do.

This from the guy who said at the start of the Prez's first term that his only goal was defeating the Prez. THAT is the legacy of the Party of No.

The president bent over backwards to compromise after being elected...nada...zip...zero from the GOP. And why is that McConnell? Could it be that top GOP lawmakers, Paul Ryan included met on the night of his inauguration and planned an agenda for the next four years to oppose every economic recovery policy the president presented? He came in there with high hopes of working together to clean up your party's disaster that was left behind and you McConnell made it your #1 priority to sabotage a presidency. There isn't a repulsive enough word to describe you McConnell.

Clinton was not like the snitch regan either. Obama should be like Obama not someone else. What we see here is that if Obama wins and the Republicans win all the seats they want then there will be another minimum 2 years like the ones we are experiencing now where the republicans continue to care nothing for the state of the US and its economy and only work to see that nothing the Democrats try to do gets done. We can not have people in the government who refuse to compromise at all. These republicans are hurting us but what do they and there investors care they are rich and can weather the storm. They are willing to sacrifice us all to there greed. Thats what i see out of there failed policies being brought back over and over to fail again and again. Its we that loose not them.

If there were a better choice but there isn't so Obama it is. To bad there will be so many republicans in office to make sure nothing changes so that they can say see I told ya so.

The Teapublicans are holding the country hostage and lots of people have to vote straight democratic, as Marie B has said, to break the onerous, nasty RNC yoke. Reminds me of when Iran had a hand in the Carter/Regan election by taking and holding hostages. What was the first thing that happened after Regan took office? The hostages came home. What a coincidence.

Sorry Mitchie, but the President has learned his lesson and when Mr. Obama is re-elected he's going to give you the hardball he now knows he should have done the first term. The republican party has not negotiated, only stalled and demanded. Want proof? The gop is desperately trying to back out of the commitment they made on budget cuts and ending tax breaks after they deep sixed the grand budget bargain.

President Obama won't have to worry about re-election after he wins in November and the public is getting fed up with gop intransigence. And the demographics get worse for you guys by the day. So take your own advice, Mitchie, it's you who needs the epiphany and the soooner the better for you and for all of us.

Mitch McConnell's idea of "compromise" is getting 100% of what he wants. Give in even a little bit and it's an utter defeat.

Sorry Mitch, but Congress cannot do their job effectively with that attitude...and thanks to you and Mr. Bone-head...Congress has an embarrassing approval rate!
10:39 PM on 08/30/2012
Why an "epiphany", Mitch?

Aren't you dumb enough already?
