Obama's rally on the STL riverfront in '08 was one of the most amazing, inspiring, and just plain fabulous things I have ever witnessed! So many ages, colors, voices - so wonderful in our often racially divided city.

Were you there??

Come on, Missouri! There must be enough of you who know that this man does not belong in the United States Senate.

As a Missourian (a speck of blue surrounded by red) I don't think for a minute that McCaskill has Akin beat yet. This state would vote for an Sandusky if he was running as a Republican. Kit Bond, Blunt, both have made comments against women - never hurt them.

I believe you are right. I believe southern Missouri would elect Sandusky before they would vote for friend-of-the-President Claire McCaskill.

We managed to fend off Ed Martin, but not Jim Talent. It's a constant battle, isn't it?

"Incredibly well" is when you're up 10 points in the polls.

Statistically tied for an incumbent is treading water.
04:34 PM on 09/11/2012
I'm confused by your comment. In this race, McCaskill is the incumbent.

Sad thing is, he's still got a good chance to win.
04:38 PM on 09/11/2012
First part for Akin, second part for McCaskill.

In other words, his campaign is not doing "incredibly well", but he's still got a chance to win as you said.

I think the republicans could run a chain saw murderer for office and as long as there wasn't fresh blood dripping off the still running chain saw and body parts weren't strewn all over the republican platform.... they would still vote for that person.....or they might I guess if they thought a democrat was the victim!

I think it's cute the way Akin says he'll stay in the race because, according to polls, he's "winning." It doesn't seem to have sunk in to him that his party does not want him in the Senate. The way they are acting, they would rather see Claire McCaskill keep the seat than have to deal with this wild card for 6 years.
