What on Earth for?
09:56 AM on 09/14/2012
Terrorists??? What in the he11 are you talking about? The vast majority of Anonymous have not attacked civilians or incited terror. They have specifically target major corporations and government institutions that have blatantly violated the civil rights of the people.

Anyone who knows anything about Anonymous can tell you that it doesn't have and never has had a spokesperson.
09:58 AM on 09/14/2012
While you are technically correct, this kid came out a year ago, I think roughly, without a mask and started talking about the group. He never claimed to be a leader or a real spokesman, but because he was the first to come out without a mask he was dubbed it by mainstream media....

Which is probably also why Anonymous post the "love/hate" thing on the file sharing website at the end of this article.

You can't show me where to find justice, yet you call for it as though it were something more than an abstract and ever changing concept.
It is justice that hide from us.

Why can't these hackers attack the wealthiest bank account and pull off a robin hood?

Because the really brilliant ones make big money working for, or owning, web security companies.

I love how all of these people share the same exact subculture, wear the same masks, and are pretty much indistinguishable from each other, yet call everyone else "sheep."
09:28 AM on 09/14/2012
They call you a sheep because they are smarter than you. Can you steal the identity of 13 FBI agents? No? Then go away.

That's fine and perfectly alright.
The media entertains a few concepts that no one else understands any longer either.
Look at what passes for journalism these days.
09:03 AM on 09/14/2012
While I agree with their message/goals, I don't support all of their tactics. Disrupting or defacing a website is one thing. Stealing and posting credit card info hurts innocent people more than the companies the info was stolen from. All of the corporations that they rallied against are still in business. I would like to know how many people's lives have been ruined due to identity theft because of one of their pastebin dumps. Sorry, but enjoy prison.

Have you?
10:01 AM on 09/14/2012
You would think with the government hating Anonymous so much and all the trouble it has caused the rich. The media (owned by both of them) would have dug up people to further discredit the group... Interesting that they haven't.
12:44 PM on 09/14/2012
I haven't heard of anything specific.  However, what good can posting people's credit card or other personal info do?  Would you want your info out there for anyone to do with as they please?

The FBI has arrested another Dangerous Criminal. This guy with a mask.....and Tommy Chong. They got nothing better to do??? Why aren't they spending OUR money trying to catch all the kidnappers, Wall Street fraudsters, and terrorists they should be persuing? Instead they go after some agent's Personal Problem, with OUR money.

they are better than the CIA which is totally rogue...at least the FBI draws the line at torture

they did not use to draw that line...and i submit threateneing familiy or friends is indeed a form of mental torture designed to illicit a response

When someone threatens someone else's children, "personal problem" is hardly an accurate description.

This is the "transparency" Obama promised - Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, Barrett Brown, all of them.

Open their secret books, look inside, see the lies they live, the lies they represent; we all might know the truth.

Do so at your peril. Government, specifically our Imperial President, have abrogated our Constitutional protection. It's incredibly dangerous under Obama. Just imagine the compounded risk under Romney?

This is the door to the dark chasm Obama has opened, following the footsteps of GW Bush.

I have heard the refrain before, "But, but… we're at War". I call B.S. There is no War, there is a problem of a few terroristic miscreants; there is a problem of rampant drug abuse in our country. No country attacked us, or even threatened to attack. There is no Declaration of War. There would be peace if our foreign policy weren't based in threats, sanctions, aggression, invasion, and occupation.

The lies WikiLeaks and others would expose, are the lies our government and its Executive are using to create this climate of fear and divisiveness , lies intended to subvert the 99% to the will of the 1%.

I demand transparency. I demand to know what our government and our Executive are plotting behind their curtain of blue smoke and mirrors.

Only a third party, like the Justice Party and its candidate, Rocky Anderson, can open the doors to these dark secrets.

Of course it will be found along with all manner of evidence of reprehensible illegal activity; right after the FBI forensics team has had a few hours to 'examine the data'.
