>>>The answer remains what it was: the economy and voters' fears of the future. The middle class keeps losing ground. Twenty-three millions people are unemployed or underemployed. We're in the midst of the slowest recovery since the Depression. Young voters can't find jobs. The monthly jobs reports are bad.>>>

And the majority of Americans don't want bigger government.  Read More...

Romney's Campaign isn't OVER because a LARGE part of the electorate are voting AGAINST Obama. No matter what Romney does or doesn't do, they will get his vote. These voters are convinced Obama was failed them regardless of the fact that we've made progress from 4 yrs ago.

It really is irrelevant to pontificate at this point. 48 days is a long time in politics especially with the digital age. Most of all, it is the lurking Karl Rove in the background cooking up some dirty trick to snow boat Obama somehow using the enormous amount of money available to him.

Oh come on Howard Fineman - Omit it - The race is over, but, you won't say it because, then you would'nt have anything to write about in your column. Bwuahahahahahahahahaha

Howard you contrarian. You seem like the ultimate grown-up and we always listen to
what you say. But in our souls we despise Mitt Romney, the very epitome of all that is
base an shallow and mean in our nation. That sure and certain understanding of who he
is should carry the day. You need several weeks of time for writing and earning your
keep, but our feeling in the ground of the soul is now set in stone.
