I know many people, even in Massachusetts, who only listen to fox. Even though they make below 30,000 a year they would NEVER vote for the black guy.

As Santorum pointed out, smart people won't vote Republican.
So those in the 47% who will voting republican will not realize that Romney is talking about them in that statement.
06:19 AM on 09/19/2012
And they also watch Fox News on a daily basis I bet!

There are a lot of low income white males, that are very racist. Most of the lower income white people I know would not vote for anyone that isn't white.

I'd also argue that lower income white individuals tend to be social conservatives, not necessarily fiscal conservatives. So they're buying into Romney's claims of "American values" and the Super PACs talking about how Obama is going to force gay marriage on them and so on and making their decision based on that without paying enough attention to the fiscal concerns. It's a sham because they'll be the one's to suffer.

Some people, particularly low income and/or less educated, need to have a group of other people they can be better than. :-(

And this is the genius of Republicans...Playing just the right note of fear that they can convince people almost too poor to have a pot to pee in to vote for more tax cuts for the rich.

Here is an instance where the republicans might have wanted to pay attention to fact checkers.

fact checkers don't check facts!!! that a fact!

Here's the Romney campaign central message: "I'm the white guy."

No, this doesn't shock me at all. I know of some people who are totally on the government dole: they are on disability, live in socialized housing and get numerous medical procedures done via Medicaid. Yep: they don't like "that socialist Obama"; they don't see themselves as the moochers. They "deserve it"; it is everyone else that is mooching.

One doesn't have to be a marketing genius to interpret these statistics.

It's about getting the Black guy out of the White House. Measure age, education, income levels, etc., any way you want. It's still a racial issue.

C'mon, America....we're better than that. Let's join the world community and embrace diversity.

That would be the 'not smart' folk that Santorum is so proud of.

Well, hey, we all know people like that. The "can't fix stupid" line came from knowing people like that.

Well no surprise here. 90% of the 47% live in the red states. Obviously voters who continue to vote for the ones that are slowly hanging them out to dry on every issue that matters. And why would the GOP not do that. Those voters obviously dont care how badly they are off under the GOP...
