It was Ronald Regan who supported the earned income tax credit and it was Ronald Regan in 1986 that mandated emergency rooms treat any and all regardless of their ability to pay. He mandated treatment regardless of ability to pay for that treatment and shifted that cost on the free market.

The Regan Republicans who clapped when Ron Paul suggested the uninsured be allowed to die or left at the mercy of the local church for the cost of his 60 thousand dollar heart surgery have rejected their roots.

As a result Mitt Romney is the candidate those Republicans have earned when you lay down with tea bag dogs you wake up with tea bag fleas.

It is the result you wanted to serve on women who are raped or forced to deal with an unwanted pregnancy, it’s your bed you made you sleep in it.

He is your one night stand where “the means of conception doesn’t change the definition of life” in the words of Paul Ryan. You can abort him, you are stuck with him and now you have to bear the burden despite your aspirations and hopes for your political future. It’s your bed you made not now you have to raise it to the demise of your political future.

This is the Republican Party they sought the whirlwind of grass roots anger and the bigoted Obama darkly ominous caricature created the Republicans were selling. They have now earned the contempt of most with Romney.

If the GOP had any sense, and it does not, it would pull Rmoney from the ticket and thrust someone with half a chance of winning out there. Tick tock tick tock...Nov 6 and an Obama victory cannot come fast enough. Rmoney is the biggest distraction in the universe at the moment.

I'm rabidly anti-communist and slightly feverish when it comes to opposing socialism.

However, there's a difference between the formal redistribution you might get in a command economy and the kind of redistribution that's being talked about in America. That redistribution is more about making sure that people on the low rungs of the economic ladder share some of the benefits that business brings to the elite.

And that's a fair proposition. Civilization is basically a bunch of farmers who can grow more food than they can eat with the rest of us handling all the specialized, non-farm tasks so we can buy some of the farmers' food. Those specialized tasks are what we call jobs. It seems to me that as civilization gets richer, the job doers deserve to get richer too.

That's not communist redistribution. That's just fairness.

It is but due to greed and the soulless in our midst it is really not working. We can correct by our sacred vote which is slowly being taken from us.

Obama supporters must vigorously push back at the base charge that he wants to take from the wealthy and give to the "moochers". This is filthy rich country club locker room talk. The President's remarks made when he was a senator in Illinois, were about seeing government resources were divided fairly among constituents. The actual text of the propaganda that devious Republicans are circulating leaves out an important part of what then senator Obama was saying.

[quote]
NBC News has obtained the rest of Obama’s comments, and it is clear his remarks were taken completely out of context. Obama is not talking about redistributing wealth at all — instead, he speaks about competition, the market place and innovation in an effort to improve government services in Chicago.

Republicans continue to spout their distortions even though by now they have been called on it many times in many places.

It would appear that Romney's argument is that all of us who pay our income taxes at a rate higher than 13.9% should vote for him so he can get more of our money. Thanks, but no thanks.

Mitt Romney and the Republican party support the biggest 'Welfare-Program' which is the Military Industrial Complex! One of the elements & attributes of the Republican party is their hypocrisy! They conveniently do this by hiding behind religion..........while they celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday with the Priest that dress in black and like little boys over Women!

Redistribution? Taxation? this is just playing with words. The issue is who pays and how much. Currently, the corporations are not paying a reasonable share, plus wealthy individuals like Mitt Romney hide money in off shore accounts. Made legal, of course, by their wealthy corrupt allies in congress.

Willard has the nerve to criticize Obama for a statement he made 14 years ago. Mitt has changed positions so often in the past fourteen years the only one that would be able to come close would be a Las Vegas Madamel!

Mitt Willard, your words have all been weighed and found wanting.
Barack can win this election without adding insult to your self-inflicted injury.
IFonly,,.if only.
Palin, Santorum and Gingrich would agree with me that these are two most painful words for the nominee whose pacmen like Trump, Adelson and Rove have helped him purchase the nomination.

Romney says redistribution has never been a characteristic of America. Not true. Progressive taxation, which is an instrument of redistribution, was signed into law by Republican President Abraham Lincoln. This contributed to the building of a strong middle class and the most prosperous country in the world.

redistribution is romney giving our money to his money buddy millionaires after he takes it from the hard working middle class
10:43 PM on 09/20/2012
I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level, to make sure that everybody's got a shot.

Holy crap that sounds like the American Dream! A level playing field so everyone has a chance to succeed. I like Obama even more now!

I like that. It reminds me of the ancient riddle posed by the sphynx: "Question: What walks on four legs in the dawn, two legs at noon and three legs in the evening? Answer: Man. Four, because he crawls, two, when he stands upright and; three when he walks with (the aid of) a cane."

A very wise man, George Washington Carver. He invented the peanut! I know better.

That's what our children are learning in our underfunded schools!

Stick with the Repbulicans and they'll have Dianna Ross sewing the American flag, Louie Armstrong landing on the moon, George Washington the first guy to chop down a cherry tree and Lincoln the guy who built the first Continental on the Mason-Dixon Line in Canada!

Education is an important issue with our current president as with our First Lady. All I've heard from Romney is what he is NOT willing to do. All I've heard from his first-lady-in waiting is what he really meant to say and he's really a great guy.

I don't like it.

Forward w/Obama/Biden 2012
