Let them battle it out for themselves.
We don't need to be the hero here.

I really feel bad for the Syrian people many are going through hell to say the least, however if Asad falls it is almost certain radical islamists will take over as they did in Egypt and Libya and that is worse for America

Egypt does what we are telling her to do. President Mousari got a call from President Obama and a big protest march through Cairo was off.

Yep...that Obama knows foreign policy and Realpolitik strategy like he knows economics and reducing unemployment. If they can keep Assad in power, Iran will be able to donkey cart their nukes to Isreal. Another big win for Barack Hussein Obama.

"Syria Bombardments, Air Strikes Terrorize Civilians...."

Then tell NATO to stop doing that and leave those poor people alone! Oh, it's the Syrian military? Pardon me, I was having a flashback to Libya.

The headline is reminiscent of what happened in Libya to depose Gaddafi, except it was NATO doing the terrorizing.

If stories like these are to elicit sympathy in the western press then it has failed. The majority in the western world could care less if these people kill each other. Many view it as poetic justice.

So what you're saying is that there is even LESS care?! (COULD care less?)
No, only a die hard fanatic religious zealot couldn't care less for human suffering and then refer to it as "poetic justice" for not thinking the same as you!!!

Why is it called 'spreading democracy' when the US bombs civilians in Muslim countries but it's terrorism when governments we don't like do the same?

Well, first of all, it's called "war" or "conflict" and it is the result of many varying causes.
However if you TRULY think Assad cares about "democracy" and the needs of the people then join his army, because MANY have left!!!

But then we'll have to go after Christians and Jews to make a safer world!! And after that, the Hindus, the Zoastrians, the Buddhists, the Mormons, the Quakers....can we MAKE enough bullets?!!
12:19 AM on 09/20/2012
Leave the middle east and N Africa alone. The more the US becomes involved, the more radical Muslim it becomes. If the US wants to support radical Muslims get involved with the middle east, if we do not want radical Muslims to take control leave the area, then get out. There is not a single US interest in te middle east. Google, the US gushing in oil". The US only gets 15% of the oil from the middle east. The US is the new Saudi Arabia; however no Royal family. In order to move the oil around there will be immediate need to build massive infrastructure which will create 1,000's of jobs. Citi says the natural-gas boom alone has created 600,000 jobs and will rise to 1.6 million by 2025. Leave the Middle East, pay down the deficit, create thousands of jobs, restore the middle class and tax all oil coming out of the ground to rebuild our schools, infrastructure, fund alternative energy. Wake up America, for god's sake look in front of you! I wish our President or even the one who would like to be president would read a paper once in a while. I would run except ordinary people are shut out by career politicians and frontmen for special interest groups.

Obama, Clinton, based on what we have seen so far in Samalia, Kenya, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, Afganistan,Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Gaza strip, West Bank, Lebanon, other African countries, Pakistan, Indonesia and Phillipines, they will all soon be ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood or other Islamic conservative, liberal, terrorist, fundamentalist spinoffs. Once they have a "Democratic vote", Muslim Clerics in Mosques, will make sure the majority of people in these countries (poor, illiterate, criminals, soldiers) vote for a Totalitarian Muslim Ruler and Fascist, Islamic GOVERNMENT. Islam is a much better governing strategy than Communism. It has all the same brutal, freedomless, secular laws and punishments with the yoke and whip applied by Allah. What a setup.
I suggest we start backing Assad in Syria. Before this uprising, Syria, with all its problems and lack of freedom's, still had the most Pluralistic and tolerant government/society in the Middle East. If Assad falls, then Syria joins all these other intolerant, Islamic governed, Muslim Brotherhood ruled countries.

Yes, another great victory for Obama/Clinton. Why does no one understand that were we still in Iraq, we would be in a position to control this situation...and others? Why does no one understand that Obama WANTS chaos in the Mid-East?

Nothing with the names "Obama" or "Clinton" on them happen by accident. The lives of our soldiers and their successes in Iraq were wasted, so that more lives could be squandered in Afghanistan. Why? Three words: Barack. Hussein. Obama. (pbuh)

We had no business in Iraq in the first place. If Bush had done what he should have and seriously gone after Bin Laden and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved. The withdrawal was orchestrated by Bush, and the Iraqi government (such as it is) didn't want us there any longer. Do you think an illegal occupation on top of an illegal war would endear us to the Muslim world?
