Perhaps Boehner should look at the Budget the Progressives did in 2011!

Look at the People's Budget Mr. Boehner....you and the GOP controlled House would not even take it up in committee...so why should the Democrats attempt to do anything when they are ignored by the Majority.

These things start in the House...so it is back in YOUR court, Mr. Boehner...WHERE ARE THE JOBS??????

Do u think you would have a job if u missed as many days as our Senate/Congress does? Isn't time we call for them to do a full weeks work for a full weeks pay? Why should we pay their Health Care when they don't even work full time! I think they deserve PART time pay for Part time work. Time limit on days missed an years they can serve! Let's make them MORE like the Average citizen of the U.S an then maybe they will do their jobs right.

Seems that if they want to work like State Legislature's work they should get paid accordingly...especially when our country could better use the funds that it costs taxpayers for these people's offices, utilties on the the capitol, etc. The excuse they use as "working" in their districts is bunk...they have "people" who man those offices and can coordinate with the representative in WA. As you say, I would not be working if I just "disappeared" from my work...I telecommunte 2 days a week...but I have to be available and PRODUCE...or they will make me show my face.

4.6M in 40 months....Boehner has been in charge for less then 24...and those jobs happened DESPITE all the ways that they have tried to make it worse. All those votes to repeal ACA produced NO jobs....so it appears that those jobs that came about because the Democrats worked to put things in place helped and now the slow down in job creation is because the GOP has done NOTHING to help.
02:26 PM on 09/21/2012
Not gonna happen, republicans need as much time as possible to blame Obama for cutting all gov spending by 9% and destroying the country.
02:42 PM on 09/21/2012
There has never been a Republican who has blamed the person before him the way Obama has blamed Bush for all of Clinton's f-ups

Congress/Senate was in for a lousy 8 days this month! What if we did our work this way? We'd be fired an why pay them for missing almost a whole month of work? That money could have gone to the Veterans Job Bill--------We know they want to do the work given them!
02:32 PM on 09/21/2012
yeah 8 days of work for during a 3 month period, as a fiscal cliff hangs in the balance. Must be nice to milk the gov for $150 k by doing absolutely nothing...

Few of us make $150,000. a year an get Free Medical Cost to boot for them/families! Not to mention often Security cost an travel pay. Yet, they can't give us even the proper amount of work time all employee's in American has to do! Romney complains about the 47% being moochers an lazy-------------Well that certainly includes Congress/Senate!

Well done. Hopefully we can restore Ms. Pelosi to the Speaker position in short order.

I just saw an Obama commercial and he said that 4.6 million jobs were created, mostly in the last two years. Hey.....Boehner took control of the House two years ago. Hmmmmm.....
02:40 PM on 09/21/2012
The sad thing is that we achieved that despite the GOP's obstructionism. It's so pathetic that the GOP has put party ahead of country. Look what they did in the Senate just this past week with the Veterans Jobs Corps Act of 2012, blocking it on a procedural vote that came up short 58-40.
02:19 PM on 09/21/2012
Future Speaker Pelosi will have plenty of work to do in January when the Congress will finally be able to pass all the backlog of bills the House Republicans have obstructed-- on those rare occasions when they have not been off juncketing during the past 2 years.

The Dems will keep the Senate and the chances of taking the House look better everyday. The Republican leadership has it's collective head in the sand.
03:07 PM on 09/21/2012
Congress has pasted many bills in the last 4 years. They go to the senate to die, because reed won't let them come to a vote. It's the senate demorats that are obstructing.

Yeah, but the roles aren't reversed. Its the GOP that are the obstructionists. If you'll remember, Dems frequently voted with Bush in the name of compromise and showing some deference to the office. This bunch of GOP sniveling baby whiners answers only to the Tea Baggers.

What a comedown for your party.
