While the other runners were thinking of their advantage, this young man acted like a true compassionate human. I hope I can, at age 67, be more like him.

How do you know what the other runners were thinking about? Are you some kind of psychic or something?

It is certainly a heroic action this young man took and worthy of praise... but your statement condemning the other participants is just plain stupid.

This young man epitomizes the BEST of the American character. His parents did an amazing job in raising him, clearly. Bestbof luck to him in the future.

I hope the young runner who was injured has a speedy recovery.
