Working Title

Reagan, as governor of California in the late 1960's, lowered state taxes by slashing funds to public entities, such as mental hospitals, thus forcing many vulnerable mentally ill to become homeless. Although Romney is not so clever as Reagan at public speaking, he would be as stupid as Reagan at making minimal the needs of the unfortunate.

Nah I don't watch most videos related to stories on HP. I read dozens of stories each day and if I watched the videos as well I'd never get anything done. Also, watching Faux News has been linked to brain damage so I avoid it at all costs ^^.

It’s a good thing that segment was via satellite or those two would have been having angry sex after the show.

Romney's own problem is that he has no substance and no convictions to back up what he says. He's a salesman who wants to tell you what you want to hear to close the deal right then and there. The problem is that salesmen rarely make good arguments that stand up to scrutiny, because they react to what's in front of them to accomplish a short term goal. They're not policy builders who construct vision and solid ideas for the future. They're short term deal makers, whose principles are flexible. That's why Romney can't win in any debate with a policy maker like the President, because his whole outlook is skewed to a reality that doesn't fit Presidential decision making.

Romney sometimes reminds me of Bobby Hill from the show King of the Hill as his dad described him. He's Mudd. You can't build him up, but you can't break him down either...

No, it comes off as elitist and him deigning to indulge in what the little people do. I submit the cookie incident as evidence.

Romney is a wuss...he was too afraid to go to Vietnam, a war he supported, because he thought Ann would write him a Dear John.

I'd be afraid to vote for a guy who doesn't perform well under pressure. Being the president is all about pressure.

Not that I'm pulling for Romney but O'Reilly is correct. It's far better to come off making strong intellectual points while being a gentleman about it rather than introducing an aggression which will turn people off. In other words let the facts speak for themselves and leave he attitude at home. Having said that no matter how polite Romney is he seems to have already tainted his public perception with his chameleon like approach to issues that it's going to take some effort at this point for many to take him as sincere.
