Reality check time. Based on the immediate feedback of focus groups, some things still need to be addressed in time for the next debate:1. Obama needs to be prepped on how to deal with listening to falsehoods from the opposition. Interrupting and making faces still isn't planning well with the undecideds. Someone out there must know a better strategy for how to endure
Republican nonsense. 2. This feeds into: we're still spending too much time correcting the other side's lies. At the end of the night, too many undecideds came away thinking the opposition looked confident and we looked defensive.3. Which brings us to: neither Obama nor Biden devoted much energy to what they have accomplished and what their plans are for the next four years. At the next debate, Obama must find a way not to get distracted by Romney's diversions, and instead concentrate on celebrating what has been achieved and what -- specifically -- he plans to do for the next four years. Our plan is better than theirs, so let's stop talking about theirs.
