Lets defeat ignorance by teaching each other

thank you amateur science buffs and sleuths for your input; I enjoy learning on this issue of the cosmos and our solar system... thank you for providing some nice direction and information!

What information?

From my first comment down it's been 95% nonsense!

the precession of the equinoxes has more to do than lining up with the nuclear bulge of the milking way.. it also was used as a tool by the ancients to tells us when we'd be going through extreme climate changes and be bombarded by meteorites.

I give up!

Was there something in that meteor shower the last couple of days?

Nano-Triffids? They plant themselves in vacuous skulls?

Good thing Jupiter is there, otherwise we'd be defenseless in the cosmic shooting gallery.....

And/or our planet would just fall into the sun because the gravity balance would change.

If there were ever a thing for us to worship (which there isn't) it would be the Sun and Jupiter.

I'd prefer the force that had the insight to place everything perfectly in their respective place.  The universe has laws. Laws are put in place to govern.

actually yes our entire solar system.. mars, venus.. etc... are all going through "global warming" planet warming... this happens when the sun is in a stage of refueling. the ancient Maya were familiar with magnetism and they realized it's planetary effects, what happens when the planets were in certain positions in the sky. this is how astrology came about?

Magnetism is too weak and localized a force to effect the planets. And astrology is superstition with neither theoretical support nor empirical corroboration.

Venus also rotates at the exact calender of the Mayan 225 days maybe they were recording planets

we better explore the history of Venus as a god

Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune, and both are of different chemical composition than the larger gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. Astronomers sometimes place them in a separate category called "ice giants". Uranus's atmosphere, while similar to Jupiter's and Saturn's in its primary composition of hydrogen and helium, contains more "ices" such as water, ammonia,

crystals

the Uranian system has a unique configuration among the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its revolution about the Sun. Its north and south poles therefore lie where most other planets have their equators.[1

is this what happens when poles move

might want to examine the history of the planets

as well as Jupiter we have to look at Venus similar to earth except an weak magnetic field and it lacks a catalyst at the core earth has molten lava and rotate in the OPPOSITE direction to earth!

wiki

Studies have suggested that billions of years ago, the Venusian atmosphere was much more like Earth's than it is now, and that there were probably substantial quantities of liquid water on the surface, but, after a period of 600 million to several billion years,[45] a runaway greenhouse effect was caused by the evaporation of that original water, which generated a critical level of greenhouse gases in its atmosphere.[46] Although the surface conditions on the planet are no longer hospitable to any Earthlike life that may have formed prior to this event, the possibility that a habitable niche still exists in the lower and middle cloud layers of Venus can not yet be excluded.[47]

Jupiter's year is different from Earth's year.......To be precise 11.78 Earth years = 1 Jupiter Year

This means that we are comparing Jupiter pictures from different Jupiter months (Suppose that it has 12 months; then 1 Jupiter Month = 1 Earth Year)

And that logically would make Jupiter look different. Doesn't Earth look different in different months (seasons). To add to that Jupiter has an atmosphere full of colored gases that would make it look really different in different months and seasons.

Very good point. It's too bad we can't have cameras nearby all the planets to kind of get some reference data on each planet "year round" (whatever that might mean)

the article does in fact mention that these "changes" may simply be the result of increased observations. However there have been changes in the giant red spot, and the development of another red spot that have occurred over a long period and had not been previously seen. I think that the big news here is simply that Jupiter is more dynamic than folks assumed it was.

I'd check into the "related videos" but after three weeks of political debates I've had enough of "giant windy gas-balls." [rim shot!]
