Romney will say or do anything to get votes in this election.  He thinks it is his turn.  He thinks he is entitled to be President of the United States.   But which Mitt Romney are people voting for?

is it the "severely Conservative" man that he claimed to be or the MA moderate that showed up in the debates?

Is it the man who ran for Governor of MA that believed a woman should have a right to choose what to do with her own body or the man in the Republican primaries who wants to tell a woman what to do with her own body?
Is it the man who thought that the healthcare plan in MA should be the healthcare plan for all Americans in July, 2009 or the man who is against healthcare for all now?

Which Mitt Romney would show up in the WH?  It's not the MA moderate that he claimed to be in the debates.  It is surely the man who claimed to be "severely Conservative" and ran enough negative ads to win the Republican primary.  No moderate would ever pick someone like Paul Ryan as a running mate.

Democrats have no excuse for not voting in this election.

A frightening statement concerning the Romney platform!

Recently I have spoken with two political scientists, former professors, now retired, who had been teaching and covering elections since before I was born, and both have predicted that Romney will take this election. I have a great deal of respect for them, perhaps this time will be an exception and they will be proven wrong.

It's clear that the Obama administration isn't going to have answers for Benghazi before the election. The CIA and military, angry at events are coming out and telling us they wanted to go in and save the Americans, but were denied the go ahead. Family members of the Americans killed tell us that Hillary said she was going to 'get the guy that made the video', and they knew she was lying to them. Sad way to end your campaign and your Presidency. I'm not celebrating Romney's potential win though. My candidate, Dr. Jill Stein, spent the last debate handcuffed to a chair for daring to protest the debates. The Dems and Repubs are owned by corporations.

Obama has set the trajectory all right - straight over the fiscal cliff.

On second thought, I have complete confidence the congress with kick the can down the road (again) - and will continue to do so as long as they can.

Which is why voices like Mark Levin are organizing true patriots who will hold Romney, Inc. to the seemingly insurmountable task of returning our nation's governance to that of a Constitutional Republic.

Decency, morals, a steady compass? Vote Obama.
09:30 AM on 10/27/2012
Yeah, real decent. He lied to us about his total incompetence which caused another terrorist attack on 9/11. Notice he doesn't even face major news outlets--opting for entertainment shows that won't ask him questions about this scandal. Those four men did not have to die. Obama's ONLY moral compass are tied to the electoral college. He doesn't give a damn about this country and it's downward trajectory.
09:35 AM on 10/27/2012
Just ask the "Pimp With the Limp". He also is a supporter of "left handed golf".
08:30 AM on 10/27/2012
Yes, unfortunately for Obama, Axelrod is correct about the set trajectory.

Gallup informs us the electorate is R+3. This does not even account for Republican enthusiasm advantages or edges in likely voters. The average RCP poll is currently using a D+5 sample and still Romney leads by 1 with Obama stuck at 47. At this point in 1980, carter lead Reagan by 6.

If reality is anything close to Gallup's estimations, we are looking at a Romney landslide of historic proportions. Kind of like Democrats losing 63 House seats just 2 years ago (that everyone seems to have forgotten).

Let me put it this way. The last Rasmussen national poll was D+6 and has Romney ahead 50/47. That is 9 points higher than Gallup tells us the electorate will be this year. 9 points! Since pollsters don't like huge misses on election day, these crazy Dem oversamples will be coming down over the next week and a half showing a huge surge towards Romney.

I would not be at all surprised to see Gallup go back to Romney + 7 today and Rasmussen with Romney +5. As a matter of fact, Rasmussen would have had Romney +5 yesterday if he had just used the same sample he used the day before.

The Dem oversampling in state polls is even more obscene where Dem +9 samples and higher seem the norm. Believe what you like, Dem +9 isn't happening.

We can believe every word that Mr. Axlerod says, because he has no reason to lie to us......Well, I guess there is that matter about him being the President's Karl Rove. While I tend to agree that the trajectory of the election is probably set, the trends lately have been against the President. It is going to be close, but I think the Republicans are in a slightly better position now.

"On Friday, for example, an ABC/Washington Post tracking poll showed movement towards Obama, with the contest settling in at 49 to 48 percent in favor of Romney. But that narrative turned just an hour later, when the Gallup tracking poll showed Romney expanding his lead to a five-point margin among likely voters, at 51 to 46 percent."

Drift within the margin of error is neither movement nor a narrative. Movement would be a clear majority of polls all moving in the same direction over a period of days. Then you can write a narrative about that. otherwise, you may as well be offering live coverage of a coin toss: "Tails again. That's 4 tails in a row. Could tails be the victor in this race? Oh, look at that, it's heads. A new narrative seems to be establishing itself as heads seems to be making a come back."

Every national poll has had the President up for most of the year. After the first debate, the polls effectively shifted, with Mitt in the lead. Of course, polls aren't failproof, but the trends have beem moving toward Romney. If I were the President I'd be a little worried.
08:55 AM on 10/27/2012
Yes, that WAS movement. And there was a clear narrative. That movement ended. That was followed by a slow, more subtle movement back toward the President, about one point over a two week period. But one point up in one poll and one point down in another is not movement. It's drift. And, if it has a narrative, it's stasis.

Changing his emphasis from Ohio to Wisconsin? same problem in Wisconsin In Ohio, a republican governor hated for his destruction of schools and jobs. His union busting bill united a majority to vote to repeal.. This was much like Pearl Harbor for many of us, union and non-union. We honed the skills needed in campaigns and many of us were already experienced Obama supporters.from 2008.. Democrats know this is a war on our people and our way of life by the rich all over the world that can and must be stopped here in the heartland.. We are trained , organized, activated and committed. Not just youthful exuberance propelling history but the 60 to 90 year old walking door after door, trudging to phone banks, spending what little money she or he can to donate, some homeless man calling hour after hour, some handicapped person organizing from a wheel chair, some minister driving hundreds of miles each week to help, visitors from other states and other countries, disabled veterans with traumatic brain injury making phone calls, Asian Americans who spent time in re-education campsdriving canvasser, retired business men and so many great people. We united to kill the aspirations of the greedy rich to control our government and our lives.
Wisconsin has the same types of people and experience. I have total faith in them.

But the Cheeseheads voted to keep their Governor by a pretty wide margin. Romney has a decent chance in Wisconsin. Ohio is a different story, but things are starting to look good here for Romney.

You can put FL-VA-NC in the Romney column...

That means he needs 2-3 of the following tossups

OH - MI - WI - CO - NV - NM - NH - MN - OR

with Romney gaining momentum and within striking distance in ALL of THEM...... I'd say ur boy BO is in alot of trouble......

Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, and New Mexico, are not Toss-ups. They are solidly in the Obama column.

11:16 AM on 10/27/2012
Baghdad Bob was a aide to Sadam that kept putting out "press releases" that were totally and completely factual fantasies. As the American troops were approaching Baghdad, he was making press releases claiming victory for Saddm's forces., etc.
07:32 AM on 10/27/2012
So, Axelrod feels the need to reassure Obama supporters of an Obama win. Rather than instilling confidence, his effort instills uncertainty simply because he's making this effort. If this election is in the bag for Obama, there simply wouldn't be a need to reassure anyone, it would really be in the bag. But the truth is it's not. Certainly Obama has an advantage in Ohio, but the polls are somewhat skewed toward Obama because early voters are favoring Obama and in 'likely voter' polls they always make the bar. Furthermore, some of the Ohio polls are skewed Democratic anyway. Despite Obama's advantage, he may still lose. His margins in Ohio are slowly weakening, and everything is dependent on the November 6 vote. I'm also cognizant of an aura of defeat that recently surrounds the Obama campaign as expressed in the opinion pages of the NY Times at http://douthat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/24/obamas-aura-of-defeat/. And there's also the fact that well known liberals are spinning a possible Romney win before the election as noted at http://pjmedia.com/ronradosh/2012/10/24/spinning-possible-romney-victory/. (Also see http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/24/how-bill-clinton-may-have-hurt-the-obama-campaign/?hp.)
