No one really cares. Just make a better sandwich. Arby's is Bad Mood Food(tm).

At the quality level of either chain, they might as well just serve meat alternatives. Less contamination risk and its flavor and texture can be whatever you want it to be.

Arby's serves roast beef, ham and turkey that are different colors, but indistinguishable in taste and texture. If it's a choice between the two, Subway wins every time.

Where it is sliced is pretty meaningless. I just sliced a fish that was caught in N.Z. and processed in Viet Nam and then found its way onto my local shop in Australia.

I am not impressed.
I worked at a place where they sliced their own meat. One of my fellow workers sliced off part his finger. He kept working.... yuck.

scientific fact- the difference between an all natural, hormone free, free range chicken breast; and a processed piece of chicken-parts meat is WHERE its sliced.

what a waste of time.

arby's has alot of nerve calling ANYONE out for freshness

if anyone ever seen what their "roast beef" looks like before they slice it, they'd agree. for those that dont know it's a big slimy hunk of a unrecognizable mess. it looks more like headcheese than any meat you've ever seen

Arby's served processed and pressed meats, that's why nothing has texture and everything tastes like bouillon.

I could care less where the meat is sliced, I want to know where I am least likely to get food poisoning. And both chains have locations that make me nervous on that front.

So yeah, when I was in college, I worked at a Subway, and we indeed sliced our crappy processed meats. Nearly cut the top of my finger off one night, and as I was bleeding all over, dude came in with the munchies needing a sandwich. "Sorry man, you gotta go to the one on campus, I'm bleeding everywhere". Now, apparently they don't, so stoners can still get their sandwich late at night. Same crap as Arby's, who seemingly still slice theirs, to the bummers of stoned students everywhere. Pressed loafs of meat with about 20% solution of water, salt and other not so natural ingredients on frozen dough bread and bagged ingredients. Mmmmm.

I love the dramatic music, like he is about to discover subway meat...is....PEOPLE!!!!

Doesn't matter WHERE you slice it, it's processed meat, not fresh and most likely produced in the same factory.
06:54 PM on 11/02/2012
yeah, that was the same takeaway I had from that ad campaign... Arby's doesn't process beef or turkey in house or locally so who cares where it's sliced? #DishonestAdvertising

Sorry, but I have yet a find an Arby's sandwich I like. Granted, I have not tried them all by a long shot, but people tend to give up on a restaurant after a few bad experiences.

Having a retired cop talk about where meat is sliced is about as relevant as men talking about the pain of childbirth. Arby's roast beef doesn't look like any roast I've ever cooked, so they have nothing to brag about.

My thoughts exactly. Having Arby's try to make itself look like they are the corner deli or something is pretty amusing.

How hard is it to grab a ribeye fillet and cook it and slice it? The smell alone would generate a ton of business.

Regardless of who's is more fresher, it doesn't change the fact that they are fast food or GMO food.

Yes, I wanna know where my processed meat like substance is sliced that I don't eat. On a more positive note, I can assure everyone that I go to an actual store, hand pick the meat, purchase, take home, wash, season, & cook myself so I know from where my food comes. Not only do I know from where my food came & what happened to it before I ate it, but my method didn't waste any resources & anyone's time with marketing propaganda. You're welcome.
