Same thing happened to me. I had three words but forgot the last one. The first two were "Load of ????"

And watching too much tv. If it doesn't kill off your braincells they get rendered numb.

Depends on what you watch. It works kinda like food. There's junk and there's good stuff. I grew up pretty much around the TV, I'd say around 8-10 hours a day, when I was young cause parents were always working. But it was pretty much and still is turned on to mainly the Discovery Channel, History Channel, and Science Channel. I just had an absolute obsession with learning everything possible, still do. Pretty much anyone who meets me is surprised anyone can be so well informed on so many different subjects from biology, engineering, physics, history, language, you name it.

You explaining the obvious and the exception, but I was not addressing the obvious and the exception in my comment. I didn't think that was neccessary.

Taking any pharmaceutical is the equivalent of putting sand in your car's gas tank. Our bodies were never designed to ingest and process these artificial man-made substances. Try to find an alternative solution if you can.

Agreed. I stay away from the Medical Industrial Complex altogether, and I will do so for as long as possible. They are much more part of the problem. My 82 year old mother took no meds until she was 80, and it was down hill from there, caused by one bad drug. Question every drug and test you are being asked to take, and especially their reactions.......

The link for the list of potentially problematic drugs is not correct, btw. What kind of lazy physician prescribes benzos anyway? They are all highly addictive, and lots of people take them with alcohol. It astounds me that modern medicine as practiced in America encourages people to NOT take care of their bodies, but simply to let things deteriorate until major intervention is necessary to prevent inevitable catastrophe.

Benzos have a place in treating Alzheimers and dementia. Unless you are a doctor who understands this stuff or a person who has to deal with an agitated and combative family member on a daily basis please do not judge.

short term memory loss, eh?

how ironical
12:12 PM on 11/11/2012
Perhaps part of the problem is the issue of "patents". Pharm companies don't necessarily keep making newer drugs for the same problem, its just that their patents run out and their older drugs become worthless to them. I take XANAX because of inherited anxiety. It allows me to have an enjoyable normal life. I tried a newer anti anxiety drug and it changed my personality completely.
with horrendous results. I'm now back with XANAX, my memory is fine, and I'm able to socialize and take vacations.

We need to take a serious look at our medications, we are advanced enough to have medicines that don't cause more negative effects than the ones they heal.

The primary purpose of all these new medications is to make huge profits for the pharm corps. Western medicine is not about finding a cure for an illness, it's about keeping a patient hooked on buying more and more drugs. Just say NO to drugs and smoke a plant instead.
