Actually, he WAS maybe 20 years ago.

What would our future 7th generation think of us?

These endeavors are only baby steps toward saving this troubled planet. I can't wait to see what happens in this free society when the planet's primary problem -- overpopulation -- is seriously addressed by limiting everyone to no more than one child per family. Ha! That'll be the day. But unless this issue is indeed enforced, then we are basically p***ing into the wind with all of these other bells and whistles. I pity future generations.

Hey, newworldman777. I'm glad I'm not the only one that addressed overpopulation. I totally agree with limiting each family to 1 child.

I did my part by remaining "child-free," so having walked the walk, I can legitimately talk the talk.

We won't be able to convince the religious folk on that one, the "be fruitful and multiply" crowd.  We also need to have a carbon tax to force people in 4-cylinder and hybrid cars.  The problem is the word sacrafice.

Our whole philosophy needs to change. Everything is based on growth. Build more, produce more, grow more... We forget that all our resource are limited and prefer to just kick the can down the road.

All of that growth results in the demand for more and more jobs, which only exacerbates the problems surrounding over-development and exploitation of limited resources. This ain't rocket science, and it troubles me that more people don't recognize these basic problems that are not being addressed.

Two kinds of people get lucky: conservatives and liberals. The conservatives think it's them, that they have some intrinsic quality that entitles them to success and money, that they are deserving while others are not. The liberals are enlightened and know that they just got lucky, indeed, that "there but by the grace of God go I." Rather than be disparaged, those rich, liberal "Holywood types" should be respected and revered . . .

Total awesomeness! Just think bro, now your parents can shell out $120K so you can learn about recycling! In 4 years when you move back in with them, you can be in charge of sorting out the trash and saving the planet. FORWARD!

I think it's great. Hope the wealthy can continue to contribute at any level after Barry finishes installing his tax plan.
