Verizon would do well to remember that DVR is replaceable with Hulu and Netflix.

Let's take that one step further and replace Verizon with something else.

If this hits the market, it will force me to start wearing clothes when watching TV. As a single man with no roommates, I find this unacceptable!

I'm going in the opposite direction... I'll make it very uncomfortable for whoever is observing my living room... and I'll wear an anonymous-style mask to preserve plausible deniability.

Big brother is already watching us in every public place, now they want to spy on us in our bedrooms? That's over the line.

A DVR that watches and listens to us.....sounds like something my BIG BROTHER was interested in. It's enough that they can track what you record/watch, that should be enough without doing something the government cannot do without a warrant. This is really something to think about. The government gives private industry this ability, and there is no restriction or limitation on what they obtain and what they do with it. But I'm sure if the government wanted it, they can get it easily from the private industry. This is how they will back door this type of thing and are doing similar things all over the place already. We must be on alert and vigilant and either disconnect that ability, don't use the equipment and whatever you can to prevent this intrusion into the Right to Privacy, (even though Rush doesn't believe we have such a right).
