Beautiful family. Amazing trip. What an amazing welcome for Obama and his family.

Excellent.

WHY WAS THIS SUCH A RUSHED VISIT? I AM VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PRESIDENT.

No reason to be. If he had chosen to skip Africa on this trip, you probably wouldn't have really thought about it and wouldn't have been disappointed because there wasn't a particular business reason for him to be in Africa at this very moment. His trip was mostly about the G8 and Russia. He extended it by a day so he and his family could make a quick trip to Ghana. Now, he'll be back in DC before the work week, ready to get going on the health care bill and back to work on the economy. He's a busy guy. And the people of Ghana seemed really pleased to have him there, even if it was for less than a day. I'm sure he'll make a longer trip through Africa as soon as he gets a chance. There aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week for him to see to everything that needs seeing to right away.

Because when he spends even a day outside the country, all the Republicans start playing political games, they start whining like children, that the President should be at home!

Oh boy, this visit is sure to bring out the racists among us. I feel sick inside when I hear those kind of comments.

Obama went to other continents so it makes sense for him to visit Africa. Ghana is a good choice, IMO. He would have been criticized no matter where he went.

Yep.
