Hmmm, * stokes chin *, I wonder where it all went wrong !?!

" Ja'mari Alexander Alan Jones, was convicted as a juvenile in the high-profile 2008 beating death of a Seattle street performer. Jones was sentenced to less than a year in juvenile detention on a first-degree manslaughter charge in that case. "

On a lighter note....he sho' is young and purdy, the big boy's are gonna love him long time.

10:03 PM on 12/26/2012

11:01 PM on 12/26/2012

In the mind of the killer it could have been anything. imslate78 is not justifying the crime, he is proposing that this situation is a little bit deeper than meets the eye.

One serial killer who's taped confession I watched said he recieved a "Hard Look" from a stranger walking down the sidewalk. That's all it took for the killer to double back and ----- then placed his body under a floor in an empty building which was discovered after the confession. Never underestimate people.

Well get yourself a strong door and a big gun, home invasions are on the rise, it's the new mugging - mugging you inside your home sometimes has big payoffs for the criminals.

Getting less than a year in juvy for being judged criminally responsible for death of another
is wrong on so many levels. Law enforcement must be a real joke to this kid. He's not even
in his twenties yet. Our jails seem to be more interested in being a revolving door for non-
violent drug users arrested for simple possession or caught with drug paraphernalia. There's
a whole economy of arrest/make bail/lawyer-up/reduce or drop charges/probation/restitution
to the state probation officer so the state can keep the p o's employed.

But kill somebody. Seems like it's catch/release/why bother?

which is why we need laws that are directed to minimize gun violence, including murders, robberies and rapes.

Most likely he'll have a progressive judge who will give the guy minimum jail time for this, his second murder. He'll get out and kill again - maybe more than one person.
Seems to be the New America: no justice for victims.

Life don't mean much on both sides of the fence in today's world. The dead can't sit up and cry for justice so our courts should speak for them.

So....this guy beat a street performer to death, another guy beats his grandmother to death both were let out of jail only to later kill someone(s)!
There something terribly wrong with our system!

first let out in just a year the other was in jail for what 17 years, but you are correct the latter should have remained in jail.
Like for the rest of their lives, hard labor too.

Now, this is part of the gun control issue I agree with you on. In order to make sure our laws are working, we can not let murderers out of prison to victimize more people.

Well, what can we expect after the NRA pushed through a lot states that Bar owners had to allow guns into their bars.
11:03 PM on 12/26/2012
I don't care if nra or unkle sam says you can't take guns to bars. I won't go in a bar without a gun.

What kind of person are you, that you would go to places, bars, in the first place, that would make you want to carry a gun?  See, you're probably the typical NRA member who has no common sense.  And you probably live in some kind of state like Texas.

A convicted violent felon... under 21... not allowed to own firearms or carry a handgun... But the bar owner must "allow guns", so... How does that work, exactly?...

Interesting. I know this area very well. Bellevue is the most affluent area of Seattle with Bellevue Square ( Bell Sqaure ) sitting directly in the middle of the city - Bellevue is a city and about 12 minutes from the home of Bill Gates.

People from Bellevue go to the area but it's not common for those who live outside the 10 to 15 mile radius to go there. It's also a pretty snobby town so most who don't have the money are made to feel not quite welcome there. I have to wonder if this was a drug deal gone bad.

Well let's hope this time around. The system will keep him in prison for a very long time!

I believe in the Juvenile Justice System....but it should only be for Juvenile offenders, that haven't committed a murder! Once they've stepped over that LINE and want to play with the BIG DAWGS.....they should be spending their incarceration with the BIG DAWGS, and getting some serious time!

Just an opinion

Your absolutely right! Innocent till proven other wise!

But the simple fact is that he was convicted for the beating death of a man, as a juvenile!

Do you think 4 years in Juvenile jail would have changed him! Evidently not...or his name wouldn't have come up as prime suspect, and the authorities wouldn't have called him out in the media!

I'm just saying... But I don't take enjoyment in the down fall of anyone! No matter what their past history was!
11:04 PM on 12/26/2012

Why would you think that? Jamari is a French boy name. Do all Frenchmen end in prison? Or maybe you are referring to Alexander? Like that guy Alexander Hamilton...Founding Father indeed... Or maybe it's those horrible Alan's such as Alan Alda and Alan Greenspan? But they couldn't be nearly as bad as those Jones's--like Tom Jones and Catherine Zeta Jones, etc...

I sure am glad we can tell who is going to prison by their name. Like those terrible Timothy's (Timothy McVeigh), Susan's (Susan Smith), Casey's (Casey Anthony), James's (James Holmes), etc...

He beat a street performer to death & spent less than a year in juvey hall prior to this murder.
Sound familar? - The guy who shot to death the two firemen had beated someone (his grandmother) to death. Spent some time in jail & later killed the firemen.
Maybe if after beating someone to death, the murderer was never let out by the "fair" judges (progressives) there'd be less murders? um..........
