Nothing will come of this. Unless the msm reports out on stories like this and others, demanding an investigation, it will not happen.

The corporate reCON thugs ain't gonna let this happen. They control the media and the government. Bottome line, money talks and they have all the cash. Now and forever.

You can't hide from crimes against humanity papers will not hide you, Bush and his fellow war criminals will pay maybe not now but history will be against them no matter how Bush & Cheney spin it! Have you noticed Bush 41 is as quiet as Bush 43 the day 9/11 happened was the Saudi answer for all the chumming up they did in the name of making money from oil,you never trust the hand that feeds you,it's so easy to get slapped back!

If the GOP starts looking for Congress to investigate, they're probably scared shitless that the DOJ is seriously considering prosecution. Watch this. If more come out asking for a Congressional investigation, they're probably looking for a WHITE WASH.

If you look really hard, you can see Cheney peeking out from behind his daughter's skirt.

The statement of the former GOP congressman Mickey Edward regarding investigation is the only safe guard of Republican Party and its survival as a political party in the long run. The last President and the Vice President by their illegal activities for last eight years has damaged the Republican Party irreparably, Now it can survive only by abiding to the rules of law and not by supporting the past illegal acts of Bush and Cheney or obstructing the rule of law of the present government, rather the Republicans should support the Government to retrieve the Party's long past good edifice.

The Republican hierarchy should ensure that those who are nominated to run for Congressional post should be clean of sex scandal, if found otherwise later should be thrown out of the party.

There appears to be two kinds of Republicans: Predators, and the prey of the former.

The former lie, and the latter swallow.

I have no doubt that he is carefully reviewing documents and making two piles:

One pile of those to be destroyed because they are too incriminating, and a second consisting of those fit to embellish the lie that he is a Great American.

"...I don't think it is complicated at all. I mean, oversight is oversight. If there are allegations that people in public office committed crimes, than we have an absolute obligation to investigate and find out if it is true," Edwards said. "I think it is Congress' job. You could have an independent investigation I suppose. But Congress has to keep control of it. It is Congress' obligation under the Constitution to do the oversight..."

This former congressman has it right. The fastest way for Republicans to clear their brand is to investigate their own party and admit their own mistakes. Nothing the congress does will preclude other independent investigations. The more information we can get the more likely we can avoid these problems in future. Not likely, but possibly, someone will learn something that will protect us from repeating the mistakes again.

I never though I would hear a republican calling for an investigation of wrong doing. I guess there are some with morals left.

This is a brave stand that few are willing to make. I have an extraordinary assumption that the imagineers linked dire and grave consequences with each reckless and illegal act they committed thus creating the dynamic that any attempt to scratch at the truth would create an automatic threat to national security. Some of the most perverted and criminal crimes might have happened here in the US, where everyone assumes the rule of law is absolute and our terror fighters can thrive outside what a reasonable person would ever expect possible or tolerate. Sound silly; what do you think Dick Cheney meant when he said the government has the inherent ability to break the law in order to take every and any action to ensure national security. Among other things, it probably means the FBI derailed the lives of a lot of innocent people who had the hypothetical potential to be threats and many of them never realized the FBI and operators of the TSP were driving the process with conveyor belts of informants under their feet. Will you ever know the truth, if the terror fighters did their job probably not. The "dedicated" part is to link dire and gave to every illegal act and the "professional' part is to start jumping up and down screaming national security and safety when any one dares questions these illegal acts.

8 years of destructive governing by GWB: Had the Executive, Judicial and Legislative at their bidding - Lied to us boldly and without concern for our Democracy or safety - nearly destroyed us...time to fix this mess left by the circus that left town.

Our biggest challenge is shutting down the propaganda and hate and fear merchants thriving via Fox and Murdoch. You can't be free without truth - and Fox is blinding people with hate, fear, and propaganda, dividing a country that needs to unite!
