President Obama can nominate the most qualified person to serve on his cabinet or on the Federal Bench, etc., but the TeaPubs will still obstruct/stonewall the nominations just because they're President Obama's nominee...

You mean like how the dems screwed the Bush federal judge nominations...turn about is fair play....but one big diff...the Senate is controlled by the dems...if he does not get approved blame the dems, but you won't will you?

Both sides have been wrong. I'm all about all nominations getting a straight up-down vote within a very short time, rather than playing politics. You seem to have no problem with the Republicans wrongfully abusing the filibuster, yet you are aghast when the Democrats would do the same thing.

Yet another reason for filibuster reform as well as having Hagel confirmed as Secretary of Defense.
