Thanks Bill Clinton. Sometimes it takes a YT former president to explain to irrational YT people the realities of this health care reform.

Well done, President Clinton. Now, go over the White House and give President Obama a tutorial on real leadership and courage. He needs to step up his game and put some skin in the game because this Healthcare debacle is shocking and the Republikans now have possession of the ball.

I would be happy to take any bets that any type of health care reform will actually include anything that is nearly as good for the citizens as it is for ivy greed capitalist

Bill you said it best.

Republicans can't kill heath care. Democrats do not need one single Republican vote to pass health care reform. It is Democrats vs. Democrats. Quit using Republicans as the scape goat.
12:50 AM on 08/14/2009
When they stop lying about the bill, then people will stop calling them out on their lies.
12:54 AM on 08/14/2009
Again the Democrats dodn't need the Republicans to pass the bill.
09:39 AM on 08/14/2009
So you are saying republicans don't have any votes?

Only that when we have 60 dems, it doesn't matter (if the dems will vote together).

Republicans can't kill Health Care reform. The Dems can pass it without a single Repub vote - if they want to.

You do realize that many of the "blue dogs" are democrats in name only. It is much like how when a Republican runs for office they never post their party affiliation. The Blue Dogs take it a step even lower, they just run as Democrats in order to get elected and then vote like the Republicans they really are. Lowest of the low.

It bothers me that the DNC tolerates this. They need to be more proactive in vetting candidates. I'm proud that the democratic party doesn't vote in lockstep to their party masters, but these blue dogs are simply trying to consolidate power in their small states by their actions and they need to be brought down to earth.
12:27 AM on 08/14/2009
That's absolutely right. Republicans can't kill health care reform, nor would they even need to do so if they could. The Democrats will f*ck it up and kill health care reform all on their own, just like they always do.

Why so much pessimism?
12:18 AM on 08/14/2009
Clinton made a great speech. If only all the independents could have seen it. Some Republicans would have even been swayed.

ABSOLUTELY!! I LOVE my president, but right now he needs to get out there and kick some a*s!! and if he needs Bill Clinton to take the first kick, so be it. but now come on President Obama - finish the fight.

Yes, he needs to shut up those who have questions about his health plan, and get on with forcing it down the country's throat.
