Trying to Control the Uncontrollable
07:43 PM on 02/05/2013
Republicans believe that people dependent on government programs support liberal ideology and vote Democratic. Republicans adopted a set of principles backed up with policy that is anti-liberal more than it is pro-conservative.

To Republicans this alliance between a majority of voters and liberal ideology will continue so long as liberal-minded Democrats continue to pass out "free stuff." The only way for Republicans to circumvent this addict--enabler relationship voters have to be removed from the programs on which they have become dependent. Once the "addiction" is broken people will vote in line with their economic interests--job creation through deregulation that creates an environment that allows American businesses to compete an an equal playing field with foreign labor markets.

How do we know our vote is actually counted correctly? Since the electronic voting computers the traceability has been eliminated. Why can't we receive a receipt for our vote as we do for most transactions? Why aren't the electronic voting machines' computer code available for independent review? The "trade secrets" excuses by the voting machine companies have no place in our democratic process.

Say no to Grover Norquist and the Koch Brothers
07:37 PM on 02/05/2013
Will someone call it the way it is? A) Voter laws are designed to suppress the vote. B) The GOP threw a big love fest at their convention for Charles Koch, one of the Koch Brothers. Koch Brother father was a founding member of the John Birch Society. Koch Brothers are John Birchers on steroids. C) Koch Brothers manipulate state legislation across much of the country via their organization ALEC (It is no coincidence all these states get the same idea at the same time.) Birchers are known racists. This is what the GOP haled at their convention!! Go ahead and deny it Teabags!!! I dare you!

Republicans: "Unless you vote for me, I'll make it so darn hard for you to vote, you may never waste your time voting again."

Add vindictiveness to the slew of "admirable" traits associated with Right Wingers.

These guys just can't play and win fair.

Hmmm...Wonder why?

Could it be there is a problem with what they are selling?

Smile!
If the 99% vote, the 1% won't matter!

Republicans know they can't win in fair elections with their current policies. So they're faced with two choices: Change their policies or change the election rules. An honorable person would reconsider their policies and come up with something more congenial to the electorate. This is what Republicans are doing.

I tend to be an honorable person. That limits my political choices. I think it limits the choices of most American voters.

Republicans fear that if more people can vote they will lose for the simple fact that their most die hard supporters are a dwindling minority all over the nation. The younger generations are not suceptible to the unending "we are under attack" rethoric that so moves their elders.

I've been saying for two years:

Republics CANNOT win elections UNLESS they disenfranchise poor and minority voters, THEY know it, WE know it AND the disenfranchised will NEVER KNOW IT !

Don't be so sure my pretty! More people are watching these moves than they think. There will be an equal and opposite reaction to this form of voter suppression.

The majority of Americans are sick to death of the Republicans and getting sicker by the day. None of their new "talk" means a thing when you look across the nation to see what nasty legislation they are all proposing and passing. A dumb, disgusting lot of "Americans" -- if we can even call them that anymore.

Republicans will never EVER agree to Voting Reform.

They intend to steal the next elections with gerrymandering and voter I.D.

Sometimes I wish the red states would secede...everyone would be happier then.

In Oregon, everyone votes by mail. In every election. It works beautifully.
