Reminds me of "Pay it forward", where no good deed goes unrewarded.

I can see this man being helped in more ways than he can imagine, and this should be a lesson to society that money isn't everything.

This guy is a much better person than those Washington, D.C. Politicians and those Wall Street and Corporate Crooks......who will rob and steal from anybody in sight!!

This was a "feel good" story until I happen to read all that.

Some folks just let politics rule and ruin their lives where they can't stop thinking about it and relating to it in everything they read and comment about.

All that hate is gonna eat you up inside eventually.

WHO EVER THE WOMAN WITH "I RIDE MY OWN HARLEY" SEEMS TO NEED ATTENTION, SHE HAS A BIG O BIKE, AND AN ATTITUDE AGAINST THE HOMELESS, APPARENTLY SHE NEEDS TO TRY TO LOOK INTELLEGENT WHICH MEANS NOT TO SEND STUPIDITY ON THE INTERNET.

Most people who take off their rings
in public, it is because they want to appear single,
for whatever reason.
05:42 PM on 02/13/2013
their are alot more reasons then that, I myself would not wear an expensive engagement ring in everyday circumstance for fear of messing it up. This btw was an engagement ring not a wedding band. Also I have an allergy to jewelry and cannot wear any of it even gold and silver for long periods of time so I often opt to remove my wedding band when it starts to cause a problem because if I dont I will be forced to not wear it for weeks on end versus a few days because i took it off before it reacted real bad. Both of those reasons also make sense, I am sure their are quite a few other ones which are legitimate reasons for not wearing one all the time as well.

My comment was not written in stone.
There are exceptions to every rule.

In this society, good Samaritans are sometimes homeless.
05:44 PM on 02/13/2013
Unfortunately for society MOST good samaritans are ones who could use the help the most from expensive items and money. Those who have it are more greedy a lot of time versus those that have nothing or little.

Seems like the most honest and HONORABLE people are those who need help the most.....while those who yap loudest get the help that they really don't NEED, but think they deserve.

Good for him! He enjoys a doing a good deed, and a new friend, more than a some money.

You would be amazed at how many rings are accidently put into the Salvation Army red kettles around Christmas time. They are always returned when the owners claim them.

Who keeps a treasured ring jangling around in a change purse? Glad she got it back, but seriously, through her carelessness she deserved to lose it.
12:56 PM on 02/13/2013
Who? Women who have puffy fingers, or feel nervous wearing them in public for some reason, do it. They take them off and put them in with the coins. When I've had to take off my rings when out and about I never put them with coins though.
02:52 PM on 02/13/2013
I have to take my rings off way too offen. I have RA and when my fingers are swelling (a long with most joints) I get the rings off as quick as I can ... would not like to have them cut off. I wear my husbands wedding ring (he died suddenly) and my wedding rings. They DO go into the zipper compartment of my purse. So Silsez think before you speak. I have to do it quickly and I'm NOT careless. I wear the rings in reminding me of my husband I love so much ... and they need to come off the minute I realize my fingers are swelling no matter where I am ....

I hope she gave him a larger reward. Bless him for his honesty.
