THE GREAT JOB CREATOR HOAX

Walker's idea of creating "new" jobs has been to pilfer existing jobs (usually 20-50-100 jobs at a time) from MN, IL, and MI. Walker then has actual ground breaking photo ops in small, economically depressed/border communities where WI tax incentives are the only lure for jobs across state lines, in order to brag he has created new jobs when he hasn‘t. Then when enough low-information GOPers/TPers/FOX news viewers have seen enough of those pictures, they do the rest of brainwashing themselves. And yet Walker has refused federal funding offered for "trains"portation infrastructure improvements and additions.

YES, PIT MINES ARE THE PITS

"Plans call for blasting away 4 1/2 miles of ridge line to create a massive pit mine."

The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa must deny Gov. Walker and the GOP of another opportunity to destroy the natural environment of northern WI.
06:03 PM on 02/12/2013
Don't believe anything Gov Walkers says. Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa need to get out ahead of this. I believe, based on treaties, the Chippewa have the firm legal footing. If the tribe has legal status as a sovereign nation that there is not much Walker and his buddies can do. Makes one wonder who getting a kick back under the table.

I saw this bumper stick a few years back on the rear bumper of a Native American's car. "Go ahead, trust your government. We did and look what happen to us."

Tired of hearing that the mine would create jobs....
700 jobs? Get real...
Gogebic Taconite will not hire 700 ... They will just let the current Michigan employees drive over the border.... And they will just move equipment from Michigan to Wisconsin... So all the talk about Wisconsin equipment companies getting new business is just a lot of BS!
Thanks to the Bad River Tribe for challenging the mine.... Because if they win the state of Wisconsin residents, hopefully, will not lose their federal flood insurance due to the environmental damage this mine will cause.
Just another raw deal that Walker is handing to Wisconsinites. Cannot understand how voters keep believing this Scumb Bag and his Repub buddies are doing good things for Wisconsin.
Unless your filling their pockets ... You are nothing to them!

The Bad River Band was very successful in stopping the proposed Acid Mining project in White Pine Michigan a number of years back. I'm very glad Bad River is involved with this.

We've been fighting this battle in WI for awhile now. What Walker doesn't say, we have no local miners in WI. Those communities that need the money? They cannot produce anyone who has any experience in mining. There will be jobs, but jobs for shipping IN workers from out of state to work the mines. The Company isn't going to sit around training a brand new work force. They want to set up business now! Walker's deal with the Company also allows for them to virtually write their own rules for waste clean up. That area of WI is pristine! Good clean water, wildlife and beautiful old growth forests. We were able to stop a water bottler from setting up business in northern WI. History showed that they move in, take the water and move on leaving a devastated impact on the landscape.

Another thing that Walker doesn't mention, the majority of residents in WI support the Chippewa Nation! Walker has already tried this all before and was shut down.

"Everybody's broke around here," said Ken Scribner, a 47-year-old unemployed construction worker from Mellen, a town of about 800 people on the mine site's western edge. "We need some money."

Racine Co is the worst in the state for unemployment and the Reason for that is Scott Walker's Policies The unemployment problem is statewide

"From the land of sky blue waters...", scene in; a mining crew destroying centuries of pristine land and dumping the waste in the rivers. Where is Scotty when this becomes reality? He is running one of the the Koch industries as repayment for giving them the rights to rape Wisconsin.
