Exactly, UpstateNY. He should have been frog marched out of the senate. I've always known this guy was a snake, and he proved it too when he supported McCain/Palin.
11:09 PM on 09/03/2009
He supported common sense vs. hollow slogans.
09:45 PM on 09/03/2009
I'm not at all surprised by this. Lieberman is not a Democrat and the Democrats should never have accepted him back after his support of McCain/Palin. President Obama, sometimes, you can't be so nice and accommodating. Sometimes, wrong is just wrong. This is wrong. Lieberman is wrong and I hope the citizens of Connecticut will get rid of him in the next election!

seriously--connecticut, what were ya thinkin'? This little dude is seemingly without a moral compass whatsoever---too bad you have to wait so long to 86 him---- it is so pitiful that so many of them are so obviously in the pockets of certain BIG CORPORATIONS--
Come on, Obama---remember CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

“We shall need compromises in the days ahead, to be sure. But these will be, or should be, compromises of issues, not principles. We can compromise our political positions, but not ourselves. We can resolve the clash of interests without conceding our ideals. And even the necessity for the right kind of compromise does not eliminate the need for those idealists and reformers who keep our compromises moving ahead, who prevent all political situations from meeting the description supplied by Shaw: "smirched with compromise, rotted with opportunism, mildewed by expedience, stretched out of shape with wire pulling and putrefied with permeation."

Compromise need not mean cowardice. ...” JFK

Once we concede our convictions we will never be able to cancel the concession. Things will never be the way they once were or could have been and will be twice as expensive. What will remain will only be a faint exaggeration of what either side really wanted. From the beginning The compromise which conservatives and blue dogs have asked for are but the sacrifice and abandonment of our right or our hope that all Americans will be treated with the human rights which each deserve. Compromise will only lead to the abandonment of these rights. I have found that it is never the strong who ask for compromise but rather the weak ……..we are stronger than we ever have been let us holding true to our goals.

Written by a Liberal. He could have been a founding father. So can O if he has the courage and is half as smart as everyone thinks he is.
12:00 AM on 09/04/2009
No there's the problem, O is half as smart. The other half is lost somewhere.
