Mike Bloomberg, the last of the old fashioned Republicans.

Bloomberg, you are a great man. God bless you. Please, don't forget St. Jude 's hospital for children.

Great? I wouldn't go that far. If I donated a $1k, it would porbably be a higher percentage of my wealth than his. If I did you would not call me great. He is another Wall Street money manipulator.

Altruism is a wonderful thing, but I question his agenda on donating to a disease that's pretty much been irradicated throughout the world. Fewer than 225 people had polio in 2012, Seems to me that Big Pharma could have donated the vaccine to the few countries that aren't yet poliio-free. In any event, NY residents may regret his giving away that $100 million after the results of the sequester kick in.

Mr. Bloomberg:

Might I suggest that you buy 100 million dollars worth of anti-anxiety meds and donate them to conservatives. Judging by the nasty comments on this thread berating you for making a generous donation, they could really use some. I figure that 100 million dollars worth would help at least 12 of them to feel better.

I thought to myself: "Even conservatives can't find anything bad about this." Then I read the first two comments in the thread. I imagine there must be many more just like the first two.

Boy, was I wrong. Apparently, there is absolutely nothing that they can't find fault with if it suits their partisanship.

He may be a 1%er but I like him....he has class, intelligence and is politically aware. Anyone who wants to control guns gets my vote.

Polio is a decease than can be wiped out if there is a constonarated effort. Targeting polio can be a big success and with some follow up it will go away for ever, in other word we have proven science to wipe out polio now.

Perhaps, but it will still do so good...not like investing, and only paying 15% taxes on it.

and if anyone watched last nite with Charlie Rose said leadership from the Prez was lacking as well as the Congress, because they only enact things that support their career and not the people as a whole...we have a man that has no interest in developing his own future but is giving it away to develop others....yes it feels good to help mankind even for a pauper like myself...because he sees a better vision on the long haul

this diminutive wannabe napoleon should spend some of his money buying a used brain....it has to be better than the one he has been operating with...anything would be...perhaps from the humane society when a dog dies naturally, of course, not from euthanasia....
