Awesome!

The Border Patrol Agents are asking the wrong questions. They should have asked for their drivers license and proof of financial responsibility to drive on U.S. Highways. The license would identify them, and proof of financial responsibility would justify the stop. Most states in the U.S., require financial responsibility to drive on our highways.

You still need a reason why there pulling you over like a traffic offense if no laws were broken then it is a unreasonable stop and seizure.

It's not illegal to establish checkpoints. It's not illegal to ask.

I'm not a border patrol fan. I see arbitrary checkpoints as a result of deep pocketed intolerance that seeks to squash the human rights of undocumented immigrants at the expense whittling away the civil rights of American citizens.

Intolerance doesn't seek to protect our civil rights, it promotes exceptionalism. The lid on that jar has been removed and the goo inside gets on everybody.

The enforcement officers have no control over policy. While you are exercising your rights, I hope you also send a letter to your congresspersons for every time you do this at a checkpoint. Hopefully, something will be done to rectify the problem, not just hold up traffic.

This video is informative and right on. This country was not founded to become a police state. Acquiescing to illegal questioning evening though we are innocent only reinforces the states' permission to intrude further and further into our citizen rights and individual freedoms.

Well, they are right, you don't have to answer those questions. But, is it so hard to say "Yes we are." Oh well, being an as__ole is a reward of sorts, eventually you get to find religion when no one else wants anything to do with you.

These checkpoints are not at the border, but deep inside the US. Whether they are legal or not, it doesn't suspend your 4th or 5th amendment rights. This is huge. These people are not jerks, they are fighting the US becoming a police state for crying out loud.

deep inside the united states? oh, come on. they have been doing this for 30 years or more and they are generally closer than the 100 miles from the border. If you say yes, they wave you through. if you want to make a big deal of it to make some huge point, you get pulled over. when did you all just discovery this "tyranny"? what jokes.

I worry that we're loosing more and more of our freedoms and the USA is becoming a police - state.

The Department of Homeland Security was the beginning of the "police state".

9/11 was the beginning of the overthrow of our constitution and our country.

Hooray for these brave citizens, INSISTING on retaining their constitutional rights.

Massive civil disobedience is our only choice, at least for now.

nonsense. this has been going on before the homeland security ever came about. I have been to mexico many times and have gone through the border checks, inland, many times in the past 30 to 35 years. these jerks aren't brave and this isn't some new thing. Just some nuts trying to make a point that they hate the government.

A favored question at the checkpoints in my part of occupied America is, "What is your destination today?" to which I feel compelled to reply, "That-away!". The mostly sunburned, painfully young BP agents usually conclude that neither checkpoints, dragnets or possibly waterboarding is effective to deal with the commonly occurring southwestern elderly smartass. It is saddening that so many docilely consent to the overreaching interrogation by agents likely instructed to ask as many questions as the subject is willing to suffer.

The Border Patrol are generally inured to smartasses. They realize that a certain percent of the motorists they stop are going to be jerks.
