If a known liar tells the truth, does that truth become suspect? If a bad man promotes a good cause, is the good cause not worth supporting?

USADA used testimony from 10 other riders (all dopers) to convict Lance. Floyd Landis went after Lance after spending 4 yearsdenying that HE cheated. There are very few statements by any cyclist that I would trust to be truthful. Narcisism is rampant in that sport. and for some reason I cannot fathom I love to watch those races.

I wonder when Nike is going to cut ties with their manufacturer in Cambodia that abuses their workers?

lol. funny. sure they will. they will grow a conscience and take the massive hit to their bottom line. because in the end, NIKE really does care about every single special human snowflake.

I guess cancer is not really high on Nike's list of causes, at least not if they don't benefit big time financially from it. Great that they stuck with Tiger Woods, nice to see talent still trumps character and causes.

From what I understand, the French were doping too. All the top riders were.

I don't understand why people try to pull Tiger Woods into this; like infidelity is anything like building a sports career on doping, admently lying about doping, and filing lawsuits against people who rightly accused you of doping.
02:07 PM on 05/28/2013
It's all about character/class and neither Lance nor Tiger have it.

Nike stood by the Lance Armstrong 'brand' as long as they could. Now it's just too toxic.

Damaged brand. Should cut ties with themselves and start afresh.
12:15 PM on 05/28/2013
lance armstrong is not why i ride a bike or support livestrong and i'm fairly certain that other supporters, whether cancer survivors themselves or related to someone stricken with cancer, feel the same way. it's a shame nike can't see past armstrong's misdeeds to focus on the greater good.

Gee, not many comments. Do I detect that the people have moved on from their hysterical support of Lance?

Yet Nike has no issue with it's shoes being produced by dollar-a-day slave labor in SE Asia.

Just a cost cutting measure.

I'm happy to cut ties with NIKE, this is just one more reason to do so.

Cutting ties with a company you do not agree with is a very grown up choice. Your post is a very juvenile one. You nned to pull that "big horn" from your keaster.

"Together, we created new, revolutionary ways of thinking about how non-profits fuel their mission and we're proud of that," the foundation said.

Through fraud? How very revolutionary.

Too bad LIVESTRONG didn't rebrand itself. Their website has helped numerous friends facing health crises, from mastectomy to macular degeneration to stroke recovery. They do a lot of good, but really need to cleanse themselves of the Armstrong connection.
