This is not my problem but I'm just curious why you would think this is okay if she was eighteen. What about these girls right to the pursuit of hapiness or is that irrelevant? Perhaps many consider her food and shelter as a fair trade? I once read that a high percent of ones hapiness is derived from ones partner and it seems logical. Treating women like cattle, is just that, treating them like cattle. I realize the many complexities and the fact that that the problems are everywhere and are quite overwhelming, it is the mental acceptance without question that just seems somewhat surprising.

Because when someone's 18 it is his/her responsibility. Oh, I forgot, HuffPosters don't believe in personal responsibility -- they think that government should rule our lives from cradle to grave :)
