Wow. I don't remember the last time any member of Congress had the guts to talk truth to evil, the way Grayson does. Maybe Robert Kennedy. Or Huey Long. (And look what Evil did to both of them.) Why do we have to look so far back?

I hope this is only the beginning of a very long career for Alan Grayson. And I hope he inspires the invertebrates to finally stand up and stop being so afraid of being criticized for doing it. Grayson represents a very red district, so how hard can it be for other Dems to follow his example?

Listen up, Dems! Rise to the challenge!

I think we ought to prepare another list for him to read. How many people have died in each district, and how much money each representative has taken from the health care insurance industry to let them die. Break it down to cost-per-life. We could find out whose lives are worth the most money (or which representatives drive the worst bargain).

Great idea! Wouldn't be difficult to formulate this.

It is about time the Democrats found someone with guts, and Grayson has done nothing even close to the outrageous behavior of the tin foil hat. Go Grayson!

Congessman Grayson has learned the Art of taking it to their face, the Democratic Party needs more like him, then they do, the likes of Lieberman. You can just tell who's getting the Special Interest money and who's not in their Pocket. Florida, 8th District should be proud of this Congressman!

We need a lot more (Ds) with the backbone of Grayson. While the Republicans and their crazy "aunts in the attic" tea bag hags get all the publicity because they make a lot of noise, maybe it is time for us to support a drive against them with a lot more Graysons.

He is doing a more good standing there in the chamber and reading the names of the dead in Republican's districts, than all the Palin, Beck and Limbaugh crowds. It is not getting public play on the cable shows. I guess it is correct that those who squeal the loudest, get heard.

I am so tired of this stupid crowd of tea party crazies calling our President horrific names like Hitler, Joker, Stalin, Communist, etc, all the while denying that they use government provided services, draw Social Security or Pensions or Medicare. They don't even know what those horrible people did and that Hitler alone, would have put our black President to death, since he was not blue eyed, white and pure Northern European.

These people are all crazy, but left alone, they just might take over the asylum. Words here, or pundit's words laughing at them in comedic terms, are not going to stop them. You have to fight fire with fire, and we need a lot more people to help Grayson call them out.

Hurt 'em with facts I'm glad he's doing this. The facts are not on the side of conservatism, and the more those facts are exposed, the more beaten down they'll be.

I've been saying it for years: look up the stats on the red states and compare them to the blue states, and you'll see what the Republican way of doing business gets you. If Republicans were really as great at governance as they say, they'd be bringing in better numbers. Instead the red states lead in poverty, bad education, infant mortality, etc. - all of the bad things and none of the good things. Republicans are just lucky that their base are trained by their churches to believe words over facts, because if they were track-record-based their party would be over.

You forgot about: Highest teenage pregnancy, highest deficits and state debt, poorest maintained infrastructure. Elect a GOP governor and you too can be like CA, SC, and MN.

Considering all of this, why or why do they keep on getting elected????

The majority of the people in there states or districts are trained to be good authoritarian followers. This training comes from their parents, the church and their peers. Sheeple elect authoritarian figures irregardless of how utterly unqualified that person might be for the office he or she seeks.

Thanks for the links - great stuff, taking that fool to school on the constitution. And kudos to the Gentleman from Florida for not succumbing to Congressional "collegiality" and yielding time to Sensenbrenner, the wannabe rescuer of the befuddled Georgian.
